Dummy Struts

Yes they are handed Bob but these are fitted correctly. Short bars to rear.

Steve, I have adjusted the steering all kinds of ways. Toe in, tow out.

John actually wants to fit the new improved top a frames, they come with the correct dummy strutts as a Mod pack.

Others have stated the mod is the best job they have spent money on.

They end up with steering very similar to the Zero.

Mine self centres but is not very good in a straight line. This improved as well as the steering getting lighter when I changed from 205s to 195s.

Without a four wheel set up machine, there is not a much more I can I can try on this car as it stands at the moment.

After doing all the adjustments earlier, the cars handling has improved quite a lot and runs in a strait line without any crabbing.

The only bloody fault is the self centering, which as you are aware is a part of the test.

I cannot understand why it was built with what I would call negative set up on the castor angle.

It might just be worth giving it a little positive camber.

The old ones are fitted correctly.

The new type are, different as they now shape, around the spring and alter the ball mounting point to the rear position.

John,

Glad to hear you have sorted the crabbing out with Ken's help.

As I said last saturday, I will always bow to knowledge & experience.

If you need a hand fitting the new wishbones (or for any other help), I can make Sunday this week end.

Let me know either way - we need to get your lovely car on the road.

Cheers

Al
