If you are currently using standard Sierra shocks, coil overs mount in a different place so are not the length of the replacements.

I originally had 16" open X 11.5 closed fitted.

After ordering new ones from Peter Bell, he sent me 13.5 X 9.

They fitted mine but I had to adjust the top mount hieght on the sliding adjuster.

Some set ups do not have this same set up, so make sure if you order through Peter what length you need.

Not sure but I think Peter is unaware of differing lengths on the 2b.

I have measured the shocks and from the centre of the hole in the bottom mount to the top of the cup over the spring they are 22" these have been measured off the car. I suppose I should refit them and check the measurements once the wheels are back on and the suspension is under the weight of the car.

If they are not the coil overs, they are not worth measuring.

The bottom mount of the coilovers fit to a self made or bought bracket that fits into a well where the Sierra type springs sit.

I've personally never seen one fitted with such long coil overs.

Not sure if yours is like this or not - but this is off mine.

The original swing arms had a seperate mount for the shocks that is cut off

Thanks David. That saves me taking a wheel off.

Unless Ian would like to see the top mounting points and how it looks on the car.

I'm calling up to see Ian this weekend as it happens so we can compare and measure our sprung shafts

You will only need the max hieght length of the spring as in that length range they all have 4.1/2 inches of travel.

now i might be wrong on this one but i think from looking at the pic you would be better off turning the bottom mounting bracket so it is inline with the wishbone pivots. If i have my geometry right I think at the moment there will be a slight sideways force on the coilover. The bushes and flex of the coilover will take it but you might get better lifetime out of the shock and bushes if the pivots are inline.
