Need To Secure Wiring Under Dash-Board? If So, How?

How have folk stopped the wiring vibrating, flapping about, poking out from under the dash board?

During the summer I weeded out some of the surplus wiring and connectors and ended up with a half carrier bag weighing 1.5kg! There is still a lot of it hanging down from under the dash board. My dash board is basically a sheet of mild steel, unshaped, welded in place. I did use some self adhesive hooks on the reverse side of the dash-board to hold some of the wiring out of sight and out of harms way. Does anyone have some method of tidying this area up more? Thanks.

There are lots of bits and pieces you can get from such as Car Builders Solutions to help tidy wiering to a professional standard.

Self adhesive clips, trunking and tapes are just a few things.

The spiral cable trunking is good. You can thread the wire through it or if you want you can wind it around with the wiring in situ although this is a bit time consuming although the end result is satisfying. Then fix it up out of the way with clips or ties.

Convoluted trunking is easier to fit to connected wiering.

Split it along the required length and simply feed onto wiering,

Even the pro's do this when adding wires to ready made looms.

It will spring back into shape as the loom is fed into it, then a simple wrap of tape at easy access points.
