Engine Paint

They would inspect them all back at the factory for any signs of stress crack.

If none found, they knew the engine blocks had gone through the mill and would be worth upgrading for f1 racing.

Up to 1500 bhp was attainable from the modified blocks. All this from an old original 1500 road going engine.

IMPRESSIVE OR WHAT!!!

All depends on the quality of the paint commercial paint as they are normally the cheapest of the cheap

Commercial 1k polyurethane is used normally use as a chassis paint so it may bubble and crack with the heat over time.

if it was 2k paint I would say go for it, did my engine in 2k still good till this day.

If you want to use the paint you have do a test part and see how it dry's if it goes rock hard and not sticky after a week it may be ok

If you paint your bogies with it, well what can I say.

Is it the right shade of green.

Seriously, if it keeps its colour on train calipers and does not burn off, it will be good for engine blocks.
