check relay pins before doing anything else.

i know the bulbs work cos fitted them with standard relay and they worked just flashed to fast

it must be the bulbs

These two statements contradict each other. About the only thing you have established is that the bulbs do work and the circuits are good. (The system works with the old relay and LEDs)

It may be a voltage problem, a resistor problem (do the new LED's need a resistor or should you take them out?), a relay problem, etc.

I would trial as follows. Does the system work with:-

1. Old relay, tungsten bulbs?

2. New relay, tungsten bulbs?

3. Old relay, leds?

4. New relay, leds?

The results would tell you a lot.

 

Finally think back to why you are changing to LEDs. Do you really need to?
