OK
Simple test
Can you make a 12v bulb on a fly lead -much easier if you can put a crocodile clip on one ends -or ring terminals
Clip one end to warning light terminal the other to batt + start the car does light go straight out ?? If yes then LED not able to excite alternator - if it stays on its alternater fault

Sorry £50

Dont buy a cheap one that looks like metal slots with black rubber bands around it buy a proper one like the Lisle 34400 Exhaust Tail Pipe Expander
Been using mine for years no problems but it's designed to be used with an air gun but spanners can be used

Really don't get how you mean -might affect future resale !!!
This cheat only came in on very set test conditions -I very much doubt you have ever got the car into test conditions unless you some how manage to get the front wheels to turn at 56 mph at a third throttle without the back wheels moving for 36 mins with the front wheels set at a set angle and that's only part of it
get VW to remap - there only gonna turn off the activation of the test map!then forget all about it - in a couple of years time no one's even gonna remember it -let alone worry about the trade in value
no one remembers mitsubishi also go done

To find optimum tyre pressure for your car /bike etc pick a starting number like say 30psi
and go for a good drive to warm the tyre .the tyre should go up 10% in pressure any more and starting pressure to low any any less starting pressure to high
takes a while but you get the optimum tyre pressure for your car not a general I run ***** in mine

Hi
just some basics
is the alternator 40amp ??
Second
single core wire ?? Is this household wire ??
Just go back to basics
multi core cable from alt to starter if you want to keep it neat or as others have said direct to battery - please dont be tempted to cut up a jump lead the wire is never usually good quality
you can buy very good multi strand wire from maplins in both red and brown able from 50 to carry up to 400amp
and they sell the terminals

Warning Lights Wiring
in Electrics
Posted · Edited by blue
Hi OK where does the warning light take its feed from ?
If you suspect it's a problem with the stalks disconnect the feed to the warning light and tap into full beam feed (think it's white but need to check)
If warning light behaves you have answered your question if it dont then something is back feeding full beam but not enough to power the bulbs but can be enough to light an LED bulb
Let me know if you want more help
