    Camber Gauge

... and I'm hoping that my freindly local garage guys will set both toe-in & camber for me in one go. THAT'S when I eventually get it built!
  2. Hi All, I'll be needing to make the Handbrake cable inner shorter. I know there are various ways (solderless nipple etc) but was wondering if anyone could provide their solutions? Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year to all!

    Parts To Repair S7

... or if you're after a full 5 piece set of GRP (1x Nosecone, 2x Rear wheel arches & 2 cylce wings) in red, mail me. (I'll probably be prepared to split them)

    Brake Drums

Thanks Chris, Like you said, it defies logic but I did exactly as you described and both drums are now off. I'm a lucky boy - All appears to be brand new, wheel cylinders, linkages, shoes & drums! I'm also lucky to have you guys to ask dumb questions to! Thanks...

    Brake Drums

Hi Guy, The handbrake (or rather the cable) is still in the cupboard. The drum is spinning freely so I don't think this is the culprit. Thanks...

    Brake Drums

OK - Thanks guys. I can always re-apply the paint. They spin freely enough so I don't think there's anything binding inside. I have a large selection of hammers right up to one I can hardly lift with one hand (so I won't start with that one!)

    Brake Drums

Hi All, Back on to building (well sort of) after my Daughters 18th Birthday and a whole heap of PC problems. Anyway, I'm linstalling brake lines and wanted to take the drums off (9 inch) to have a peek inside etc (In case you forgot - I bought this part built). Nothing's easy eh? Now I would have thought that these needed just a tap (there's no grub screw) to pop these off? Oh no, they're stuck fast (even with quite a lot of hard tapping!) - Maybe it's the paint? - Or is it the nut & washer that has to be removed - surely not??? Any ideas anyone?

    Paint ?

You used to be able to thin Hammerite down with petrol and you could wash your brushes out with petrol too! This doesn't work as well these days though as they've either changed the formula of Hammerite and/or petrol? I suspect the former. Like everyone say's, there's better stuff out there. The days of Hammerite are probably coming to an end.
  12. Hi, I'm after a couple of seats, is there a website where I can view/order them? Thanks....
  13. This looks good Roy, thanks very much (were you the guy I was speaking to for a long time at Donnington?). I like this idea. I don't suppose there's anything stopping you from 'mirroring' it so that it can go onto the passenger side eh? Thanks again... Steve.
  14. Hi James, Thanks for your response. Yes, I'm looking at some on eBay too. I remember reading a post somewhere that said you may need to chock them up a bit at the front to stop them being so upright. Do you think that they're a bit less padded than the RHE ones and so you'll be sitting slightly further back?? That's important to me.
  15. Hi All, I'm thinking about buying a pair of Cobra Clubman seats. Would I be right in thinking that these wouldn't be quite as padded as the RHE supplied ones - therefore giving me a bit more legroom? Has anyone fitted these? Do they require a particular subframe or can they be just bolted to the floor? Thanks....
  16. Hi Ron & Bill, Copies of the VG Wiring Diagram & Big Jims's stuff are in the post today. I've tried to join them up the best I can. Sorry for the delay, I've been a bit poorly. Dam - There's another week gone! Regards... Steve.

  18. Hi Bill, your mailbox is full Ron's sent me his address. Once I've got the additional stuff from Big Jim, I'll be forwarding it on. Thanks... Steve. ... and thanks Big Jim.
  19. I have one Ron (for what it's worth I believe ! ) PM me your address and I'll post a photocopy off to you. It's the leat I can do in return for the circlip
  20. Hi Pete, I may be interested in the Rear wings and the nosecone (if it's the wider of the two?). I'm builing a 2B Plus, so I think I need the wider of the two widths? Anyone, Some of you may be aware that I'm looking to replace all my GRP (which is Red) for Green GRP. Does anyone know if these wings will be wide enough to cover 205 sized tyres? Does anyone know if the colour will match the current RH offering (as I still need to buy 9inch Cycle wings (Then again I may go for the swept wing option) Thanks... Steve.

    Donington

I'll be there on the Sunday - The weahther forecast looks OK (allthough I'll be in my tin-top). I need a few bits & bobs (no change there then!) I'll also be taking RHE to task about the following: 1. How come my 2B Plus was supplied with narrow front cycle wings when wide wheels & tyres were supplied? 2. How come my 2B Plus was supplied with narrow rear wings (the stainless parts) when wide wheels & tyres were supplied? 3. How come they won't take my original GRP off me and do some sort of trade? I also need a new bonnet half as I've discovered that there's a nasty scratch on it. That's probably not the fault of RHE but gien the above and this too, it looks like I'm going to have to spend quite a bit of extra money which I haven't budgeted for. :gdit: :gdit:
