I've been looking this morning and decided that the emerald does not support this function.
After doing a search on the internet, I beleave that it has something to do with the turbo.

Where are you in Chesterfeild ? I'm only in Worksop fancy a meet up? mowerman
I Live in New Whittington, but my car is in my workshop in Staveley (even closer to Worksop) at the moment.
I was hoping to have a quiet time at work so I could have a good spell on the car, but so far it hasn't worked out.

I am finally wiring up the engine bay and fitting a Emerald ECU.
All seems quite straight forward if I take my time except for the knock sensor.
I have looked through the ECU manual several times, but cant find any mention of Knock sensor.
Does the Emerald support this function and if so what does it connect to.
Thanks for any help.

Paul,
I ordered a Aero screen in 2008 from GTS.
Wish I had done a search before I sent the money.
No nscreen and no money.
I cant beleive he is still trading and getting away with it.

Came yesterday.
Needed help to get off the throne after getting dead leg.
Apparently this is normal after 2 hours.

Can't get him insured on my car or my wifes ( company car and Megane sports 225). Believe me, I don't want to pay this price so they can keep adding zeros.
Pass plus will make appox £100 difference for first year only. Some companys do not even lower their prices anymore for this.
Pass plus costs about £150

I checked e-car and they were £4800.
All the quotes we tried for already included myself and my wife who have both got no convictions.
I tried to lean on the broker today who does our company insurance. All I got was a cup of coffee but no discount.
In fact he couldn't get any where near the Quinns quote.
It looks like we will just have pay up.

I did ask about this, but the car is in my sons name and he is the main driver, I was told that he would have to be the policy holder.

My son passed his driving test yesterday.
He is 17 years 1 month.
Because I have a company car and the wife has a Megane 225, we bought him a 2000 Punto 1.2 worth £600 to learn to drive.
The insurance was £1198 which I thought at the time was expensive.
Yeasterday I phoned the insurance with the happy news to be told "congratulations, that will be an aditional £2089.
I have since phoned, emailed, onlined and faxed every insurance company I have ever heard of, only to find out the original from Quinns was by far the cheapest by at least £1500.
We have had quotes up £8500 for TPFT for a £600 car.
So last night I thought I would go to the pub and try to forget all about it and maybe the answer would come to me.
It seemed like a good idea at the time, but now I still need to find £2089 for the insurance and £50 which I borrowed off the wife to go out with.

Have a look at the Links/ members cars. I have found loads of info that has helped with the build of my Super Spec.
Also look at Links/ other club sites.
Hope this helps.

The very best of luck. Not the easiest of times to take over a business, but I am convinced you will make a good go of it.

Just started my strip down this afternoon, found a bit of play in the rear propshaft UJ.
How much would it cost to get new UJs put in? Is it really worth it, if it is of a similar type to those that have failed dramatically?
Anyone know a good propshaft manufacturer / anyone who can supply & fit new UJs in the south yorks area?

I went to one last year near Sheffield.
It is on the A61 somewhere near Grenoside. Its on the right hand side driving away from Sheffield.

Thats all I could think of doing with tadpole stuff. Was hoping for some more ideas.

I have just finished refitting the nosecone on my superspec.
Inside the nosecone is very full. The radiator is touching the cross member and the intercooler is touching the radiator.
The trouble is the nosecone is sat up by about 3 mm and so I have a 3mm gap at the front between the bonnet and the side panel and flush at the scuttle end.
Has anyone had this problem and what has been used to fill the gap and still looks good.
I was thinking of a tadpole beading, but not sure. Any suggestions and photos please.

Was going to come for my first time tonight so I could pinch some ideas, but snows coming quite fast now and wife says I have to make dinner first.
Maybe next time.

Read this topic this morning and thought I was on my own. It gave me the kick start I needed. Not touched the car for six months
Sorted out the intercooler mounting today which has allowed the nose cone to sit straight.
Tomorrow I will look at remounting the header tank which I have never been happy with. All these jobs which I did wrong the first time round really knocked my duck off so I gave up, but up and fighting now, well nearly.

I think many small engineering type companies are the same. Good at what they do best, which in this case is making Kit cars.
To be good in all areas they will would have to employ people to work in those departments which would increase the cost of the parts etc. Its just a fine line between cost and service.

Just thought I would share my aniversary with you all.
I have just passed the 1 year mark since ordering and paying for an Aero screen from GTS.
He will not answer his phone or reply to his emails.
I have bought one from ebay now and have put the GTS experience down to my "charecter building".
I may go out for a drink tonight to toast the 1 year aniversary.

Well done. There is hope for me yet.
Glad the power felt good, got a little worried when reading your post.

I am wiring the an Emerald ECU and have reached the Lambda sensor stage.
After reading some articles I have decided I need a wide band sensor.
How do I identify which one was supplied with the kit. Maybe a wide band one was supplied by RH.
If I have a narrow band, which wide band do I buy.
Thanks for any help

GBS once made some grp moulded dashes, may still have some if you give them a ring.
I tried for 6 months to get a moulded dash from GBS. They were always going to be ready "next week".
They were waiting for some cable at the right price to connect the machine up which made them.
Gave up and went a different route.
That was 2-3 months ago so it might be worth a quick call.
