I love all the dressing up. Adds to the occassion. I have Gallons on tap down the local so I'll not run short

Dream on my friend. Dream on Whatever happens, I'm going to have a headache in the morning If we can only continue and build on the style of play we exhibited during the Autumn internationals, we will have a good chance of achieving the potential we have threatened. Should be a good game either way. They usually are Good luck to the Taffy's (but not too much eh )

PML. You have a pint sized little Dragon there my friend but share a thought for me when we beat the Irish at the end of the Championship. I get the feeling I might be "Incommunicado" if you know what I mean
  4. Quick question Alan that you might be able to help with. Have you heard of anyone replacing the Hydraulic lifters in the Silvertop. I have a 136BHP early Silvertop which with the above changes should make the 175 I want but if I go above that, I'm worried about the increased RPM needed with Hydraulic lifters. You've used both in anger haven't you? What do you think.

No excuses. Lets stuff it to the Boyo's and get the campaign off to a great start.
  6. Hi Paul ECU, decent carbs / injectors and exhaust system / manifold should see about 175 on a 2.0 Zetec once set up correctly. Very simple to fit it to the Bell Housing with just a spiggot and release bearing. Also suggest a lightened flywheel or a 1.8 one. Fast Road Cam and basic flowing and fettleing will see 200bhp but suggest start upgrading the engine after that with ARP etc. The Zetec is a perfect match for a 7 being slightly lighter than the Pinto and easy to get reasonable power out of it. However, if you desire more than 200 ponies than the Duratec might be the best long term option although Raceline give a good idea of what needs doing to both(but at a price!!).
  7. Personally, I welded 2 strips of angle to the Chassis for the tank to sit securely in and then had secure metal straps, cushioned to avoid rubbing, across the top so it can't move left, right, back, forward, up or down. In a crash, that tank ain't going anywhere and I would never trust my life to just an adheasive bond.
  8. The Hood is a great car. The Chassis was worked on by Colin (the associate Richard refers to) with Richard and the one down at Dunsfold was built by Colin and is the official Dunsfold race car. The idea behind The Hood was to compete in race series and the frame is stronger and lighter than the 2B. This is a cracking price Richard is offering this for so I suggest someone snap it up.
  9. Sorry Adrian, forgot to take them. I will do so this weekend. It will fit either side because it finishes at the collector so whoever fits it, can match up exactly the angle to the silencer they want. It's one of these kits that Spencer Ashley welded up for me before I had a change of mind.
  10. Hello mate, how you doing? It fits a 2.0 Zetec. Mine is a Silver top but I have a couple of Blacktops upstairs I will try it on if you like but I am pretty sure it's the same but I don't have a Duratec knocking about. Why not take it and pay me if it fits?
  11. Have a look on For Sale. I am selling on behalf of Colin a recent build going with 12 months MOT for £4k and the person that built it is an expert.
  12. I could have taken some today as I was down there. Will either get Colin to take some or will snap away next weekend.
  13. Q. Why a Duratec and not Zetec? Can get a 2nd hand Zetec for 150 quid.
  14. The carbonmods stuff I have is exo Nick.
  15. Springs are pretty cheap or when you figure out what you want, put a wanted ad on the forum and see what comes up

    Atom On Top Gear.

 It comes to something when someone describes an Atom as sensible  People will pay 150k because of the time it set around Dunsfold. It's set to be the "must have" now for the Mr Rich.
  17. Just remember it's harder to get good penetration using TIG.
  18. I'll try and remember to get some this weekend

    Atom On Top Gear.

I cant help it but I wasn't a fan of the new Atom. Don't get me wrong. It looks great, goes like stink and is an awesome piece of engineering but what's the point? I thought an Atom was a light little thing with an engine, steering and brakes. If I had one, I would want every piece of computer whizzardry turned off apart from whats necessary to ignite fuel. If you tried to drive this car without all the gimmicks, it would be practically impossible. Just too much power and gadgetry.
  20. I think these are just cockpit rain covers but will ask the question. Come on someone, anyone over Camberley way that can have their car measured up. When I have an idea of numbers, I will try and get a price.
  21. Hi I'm in discussion with a Lady on ebay that makes shower hoods. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Caterham-Westfield-Locost-Locust-Kit-Car-Shower-Hood_W0QQitemZ270695725945QQcategoryZ36631QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp4340.m263QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DDLSL%252BSIC%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%252BDDSIC%26otn%3D8%26pmod%3D270692112653%252B270692112653%26po%3D%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D6595622899694446187 2 questions. 1. Who would be interested in purchasing one? 2. I need a Zero and a 2B owner in the Camberley area that can pop around to get all the sizes for making them. Any volunteers?
  22. Can I suggest you don't try and cover any holes with wrap. I don't know for sure but have heard it can cause a fire risk if it escapes from a hole.
  23. Agreed although I prefer to keep the engine as low as possible but will check what my clearance is as my mounts are hand made and not standard.
  24. I have literally taken the thickness of the base off one side and cut at a 90 degree angle straight across. I would say I have lost well under 500ml. http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTWiKm-jHReVTpHEUCrAuPQe0ZitkwLXaYzJ8nv-0Qn_2b7-UHIPg Now looks like http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_hB0wGEEbIwk/Sa69_zDr5YI/AAAAAAAAAPI/aQYT1_jj8gw/s400/Image058.jpg I then tig welded a flat plate accross. (These are not my images) I'm not saying this is better than a custom made jobbie with a resevoir or offer any guarentee whatsoever. I am not offering this service to anyone else but it's what I have done and so far, I am happy. If that changes, I will let everyone know
