  1. Hi I am looking for information on a Robinhood 2B Registration number G315 HSG.

Has anyone came across this car?  was my first build and interested to see what's happened to it.  May purchase it back.

  2. I was the original builder, took me the best part of 3 years to build, had it on the road for 3 years but had to sell it, just interested to see if it is still going strong, maybe buy it back if the price was right, no pun intended.

    thanks

  3. :unknw: Hi all, I want to go the other way; finish the stainless with a brushed look so its not mirror finish; hopefully to hide the inherited & self-inflicted scratches & minor dings like where the side panels didn't quite curve as intended. Will Autosol do this-- is it a heavy cutting polish? Regards Bob.

If you want a brushed look, try using "Scotshbright" comes in different grades, we use it to blend welds in stainless steel and to give the metal a grain, you have to go in one direction, lot of elbow grease needed for you car. :D

  4. neil i put my 2b in for sva in glasgow passed seconded time. if you get the young guy think his name is steve hes a bit of an idiot does not like robinhoods and will try to fail it, my car failed on noise, but after inserting brilo pads it passed. he was not to happy to give my mac and sent another person out with it. there is an older chap he seems a bit fairer hope this helps........ colin

  5. Robbie i have also just had this problem, changed the alernator, still losing power from battery, took a while, found that i was losing 3 volts when the car was not moving. coming from that battery,it was arcing in the battery tray, try putting a volt meter from chassis, to + on battery, i have decided to buy another battery. hope this helps.

  6. i inserted a couple of stainless steel brilo pads in side the exhaust, with a crome trim for the exhaust and cut a peice of perforated plate to fit inside the trim. this stops the pads from coming out help in place with a small screw. after sva take trim off and rev engine to get pads out. better to insert pads just outside sva centre (cuts down on the revs meaning car wont reach more than 60mph)
