Brighton Classic Car Show, June 3Rd

Posted by nelmo in Events
I thought I'd try arrange something down the bottom end of the country, for a change.

I'm happy to do a block booking and to plan a fun route down to Brighton from a convenient start point, if anyone is interested. It's worth going just to get free, allocated parking in Brighton :-)

I realise it's a long way for most of you and I'm not sure if we have many southerners on here (the members map shows quite a few) so I may be going by myself :-) but any interest?

Thanks to one of the members (Ivan Farrington) for pointing this one out.

Where:    Stamford Town Meadows

When:     Sunday 26th August 2018, 10am to 5pm

How:        Registration will open Saturday 28th April 2018

I believe a few have attended this event previously, i have contacted the event and they are happy to give us a designated area for a club stand to allow us to all exhibit together. They have stated that each car will need to register individually when registration opens on 28th April 2018 (This Weekend) and clearly state RHOcar The UK KIT CAR CLUB on the application.

Please see link below to the event and registration.

Hope to see a good turn out and put our stamp on the event.

Eosb Discussions

23 Apr 2018

Posted by unclechief in Events
Just to clarify the EOSB may not happen this year. The reason being is that the usual venue we use could not give us our usual dates. The only two dates we were given were the 30th June and the last weekend in September.

A lot of feedback was given to me from last years event to which I thank all that have it. One of the main things was that people didn't not want to camp in September and the general concensous was that an earlier date would be preferred.
Unfortunately the 30th June which was the only other date that was available clashed with another event date that had been set.

I have been looking into other venues since last year but the cost is looking too big. There are a few I am still perusing and am hopefull we can put something together but at this time I have nothing to promote.

I would have liked to have been promoting the event early and had flyers etc to hand out at stoneleigh and other events to try and get the number up but without a venue not a great deal to promote.

This is a real shame as last year numbers were up and costs were down after a lot of effort was put in.

That said there are still several camping weekend events available and hopefully a few more event/ gatherings that can be organised. I will keep looking at possible venues for this year and if I can find something that fits I will Set things up.

Rhocar Kitcar Meet Huntingdon (Non Members)

13 Apr 2018

Posted by unclechief in Events

Hi All,

Some of you will be aware that Craig (mrinverted) has been arranging an event near Huntington for some time now and has received a good response from members. I have had discussions with Craig to see how the club can assist.

The Plan remains the same as per Craig's previous post Camping, BBQ and Run Out. I will bring along My PA system to provide a bit of evening entertainment in the barn/Outside if weather is good.

To ensure that numbers do not get out of hand and to ensure we have enough food/Space to accommodate everyone we have decided to make this a ticketed event.

Tickets are Free with Priority Tickets are available NOW to RHOCAR Members in members section (See  http://www.rhocar.or...pic=46489&hl=).

A link will be posted here on 27th April 2018 to enable Non Members to join us. Further information will follow.

To ensure that Craig is not out of pocket for this event a small donation is suggested when attending the event and anything over the costs will be donated to charity (To Be Confirmed) Club Funding will be applied for which will keep costs low and make this and enjoyable event.

Hope to see you there!

Ragley Hall Classic Car Show - Monday 28Th May

09 Apr 2018

Posted by David S in Events

This is a nice show at Ragley Hall near Alcester and might appeal to anyone in the Midlands area. https://www.classicmotorshows.co.uk/ragley-hall

It is over 2 days on the Sunday and Monday and is a cross section of old, new, kit, modified etc.  Complete Kit Car organise the kit car presence on the Monday.  It is £10 to get in but if you email Adam Wilkins at CKC, he can pass your details on to Grosvenor Events (the organisers) who will give you a ticket for free. ( I think it is adam@performancepublishing.co.uk )

I have been for the last couple of years and will be going again this year, possibly with a couple of mates from the WSCC (all weather dependant of course!).
