Hi Richard

Well done . a weekend in the garage should see it ready for re-test.

Was the experience as bad as you expected?

Once again well done and atleast you now know exactly what you need to do now!

It seems as far as the re-test goes I'm in the hands of RHSC or Lolocost. I telephoned at lunchtime and sent an email, but nothing yet. I do hope they're not going to drag their feet on this - all the other fail points will be sorted over the weekend.

Just have to put my faith in RHSC one more time .....

fuel line i think you will have probs with RHSC.

Go out and get rubber fuel line and fit that instead

as long as it has fuel on it you should be ok

I was also going to say what Duncan mentions can you replace it all with Halfords "Marked" Rubber hose instead ? Or does it go the length of the tunnel :boohoo:

Mind you it might still be quicker than waiting for Robin Hood to reply :gdit: :gdit:

Well done, it is only a small snag sheet, you'll soon get it sorted.

Ref the Fuel Pipe, for what its worth -

A company called Colex make nylon tube that is resistant to most solvents, alkalis, oils, greases, petroleum products etc. Their website is Here There are some downloads that may help you.

hey richard i have seen those sticky pads in maplins where you can drill a small self tapper in the middle of them to the chassis - might be worth while - seems a right faff on to glue them on... where were the pads in the engine bay? i would of thought heat would make them drop off or cold - in saying that i have them in my engine bay just stuck on and there still on since 1989!!!

well done tho mate - small list!!

Most of the ones I used were on the inside of the bonnet to carry the indicator loom (won't be self tapping these) but they do look tidy so will glue these in. The others I used (and I think he had a point here) were on the back of the driver's foot panel, to hold the alternator loom. They are only a few inches from the manifold and downtubes, and we all know how well this panel heats up. I'll rivet these! ^_^
