See if you can have a look at the PPC article on building your own turbo manifold. It isn't that hard because flow isn't critical like with an inlet manifold because the gas is under pressure and the turbo is going to put a fair bit of back pressure in anyway.

Am I the only person that remembers discussions from a while back about some Transit turbo-diesel exhaust manifold fitting a Pinto?

 

There was something about the turbo interals being a different material to those that would be used in a petrol motor and not withstanding the temps.

 

Or am I dreaming?

Well I found the articles, I've scanned them in and made a zipped file to email out but it won't attach and, for some reason unknown to me, even when I try to attach one page at a time it won't do that either. Any suggestions gratefully received but if you are going to explain how to do things on a computer please assume you are dealing with an idiot! It saves time in the longh run.

Sorry...guess that article mustve been quoting that the naturally aspirated (NA) heads were the same exhaust porting, not the turbo ones. In fact, i read a bit about the 2.3l NA guys doing the turbo conversion, and they appears to always take the entire engine and the tranny.
