Rear Suspension/ Super Spec

I need to replace the Bushes on the rear suspension of my 05 Super Spec. Can anyone tell me for what vehicle I need to say I need the bits?

If I tell them it's a kit car all they say is COMPUTER SAYS NO.

Those of you who have been there will understand what I mean.

No,outside wishbone bushes. But I will replace Shocks and springs to match front.

Thinking of replacing the rear suspension bushes on my Superspec as well. Where did you get the bushes ? E-Bay seems to concentrate on Cosworth ones that cost a fortune.

Hi Alan, they are the ones I fitted to a standard Sierra 2.0 rear end.

I assume thats the rear axle you have in a superspec?

As far as I know. I bought the car already built but the previous owner boughtt it as a rolling chassis direct from GBS so no reason to believe it is anything else.

For info, the standard Sierra rear end is fitted to the Superspec.

The only caveat, from what I understand and have been led to believe, is it was from a hatch or saloon, but definitely NOT from the estate as this was slightly different and will not fit, (although this may just refer to the trailing arms aka rear wishbones).

That rings a bell Al.....the shocker set up was very different on the Estate.

IIRC, using coilovers will work with all Sierra rear ends, but the estate can't be used if separate shocks are used.

I think you are correct Nick if you used coilovers then the estate was ok but RS never got round to altering the chassis to work with estate suspension and shocks.
