How did you guys get around the head lights catching on the front wheel arches I have a 2b thinking of getting smaller head lights

What were the handbrake cables fouling on? And what smiths gauges are you using?

If it's a wishbone 2b, try bending the headlight mounting plate upwards a little. It worked on mine due to standing on the plates before headlights were fitted.

Have you got a ford pinto engine? If so write to ford technical with your engine number and they will give you the year of manufacture. Really nice guys and reply quickly too. Hope that helps

1 need to change - do you still have the RH ones -- the mounting stems will probably allow packing up with washers.

2 Extension tubes are the only answer if RH indicators used-- can't remember what we saw back in the summer.

3 Explain more

4 S/steel MILOR clamp is nicely rounded (spelling??)

5 Do you know engine number? Yes -- then Burtons catalogue gives all date codes -- was accepted for Florin.

6 Cable routes may be better if they cross over at tunnel -- gives more room.

7 Re-do dash covering with camping mat under to give the gauges a "frenched" look-- bezels should be too low to measure then.

HTH Jon, see you again some-time soon with a PASS

Southampton didn't accept the burton book when I Iva'd 18months ago, ford technical is the way forward.

Engine age codes are published in the Burton Performance catalogue and have been used at SVA & IVA for years

There are clamps you can buy on eBay to limit rack movement or you can use jubilee clips inside the rubber boots on the rack part

Like most things -- times change -- & the people that administer the rules.
