Fog Light To Only Work On Dipped And Main Beam

Some how side lights are joined to this but dosent show on that diagram

Tried linking into the Collum cable as the duck suggested and that does is makes it possible to turn main beam off at the fog switch ?

The wire to power the sidelights is the one connected to 58 on the stalks. If that wire is disconnected and isolated the sidelights can't come on at all

.

The sidelights should be on when the headlights are on. There is no way of switching them off when the headlights are on. They will be on when the headlights are on and the fogs are on. You're supposed to have sidelights, headlights and if you need to have them, fog lights all on together. That's the way all cars work.

 

IVA want it to be that if you have the sidelights on by themselves you can't switch on the fogs. You should only be able to switch on the fogs if you have sidelights and headlights on. The sidelights won't be going off in that situation.

That's Wright Nigel how do I get around it then as the switch has to be turned on to come on with side lights if I don't touch it then it's not a fail

The problem I have is you can turn the fog lights on if you have side lights on only . This can't happen !

Have you traced the wires and drawn a diagram of what you found yet?

 

If you can post your drawing it would help massively.

Hi guys this is a wiring diagram I hope this makes sense why I have fog lights working with side lights and cant work out how to stop this to just work on dipped and main beam on fog switch !

It Works with full beam not a problem !
