If you are talking about a y bar I hope you have converted it to fit to brake pipes on whatever you are towing.

Unless all four wheels are off the ground, whatever you are towing must be fully braked.

They are illegal to use in some European countries even if they are fully braked.

I've got one that I keep meaning to fit a brake pipe to with a flexi at both ends. Then fit a t piece to my rear brakes on my gal I near the towing eye. Then another in a hidden place at the font of my kit. I know it would mean a quick bleed job before and after journey but that's not difficult is it.

I used to use its lot but the bobbies are getting to wise about the rules now.

Someone on here got prosecuted not to long ago.

That's why I put as Bobb's are getting more and more aware of the situation.

It does state all four wheels must be off the ground.

Whoever it was had someone sat in the car to be brake man but that didn't count.
