Superspec Fuel Tank

Hi guys does anyone know the ohms reading for the superspec standard fuel tank as the car isnt currently with me so I can't get to it to measure it. Thank you

Do you think that the etb fuel gauge will work with it or not and also if not will I need to modify the fuel float hole diameter

Why how bad is it. That little gizmo sounds good for the money aswell. They may well be selling at least 2 at stoneleigh haha

my etb fuel gauge is miles out and its not worth using etb sender as fiesta sender incorperates the fuel pump im sorting mine out before summer, spiyda design make a fuel wizard www.spiyda.com also if not in a rush they will be at stoneleigh end of april

 

Maybe try to keep it in the club by checking out our own electronic wizard --- Simon -- AKA The Mad Professor -- he had a similar gismo in development.

The variable resistance in your tank will be a connection to the wiper contact ( central?) & to one end of the wire coil -- change the fixed contact to t'other end will at least have the gauge working correct way round instead of A about F. Then maybe an adjustment in arm length/attitude ( bend it ) will make in even more accurate.

I think this is a Superspec design feature. My fuel gauge has always read back to front, although it does indicate totally Full (When empty) and totally Empty (when full). I just live with it.

I must be unique then in having a Superspec with correctly reading fuel gauge - shows full down to empty and is fairly linear. Not that I can take any credit. Must have been set up correctly by the previous owner.

I had the inverse reading issue years ago. Easily solved by switching the wires internally on the sender. Easier to do than explain tho.
