Hi,

Been looking but only found old topics with not exactly what I need.

I got a RHD S3A, with Pinto EFI and a T9 gearbox. My clutchcable is bad and I want to replace it. I bought a new one, but not looking at the length, this is way too long.
I need one a lot shorter, it went between the manifold, 2 and 3. can work it around if needed.  It has the yellow teeth wheel on the pedal, not sure it does anything but I've seen some adjustable ones in the search results. I need a cable length apprx. 122-125cm inner cable.

I'm based in the Netherlands so a part. nr would be great to order it in the Netherlands due to the high costs ordering it from UK.

If you put the clutch cable through the manifold it won't last, the heat will melt the sleeve between the inner and outer cable making the clutch go heavy.

If you use the long 2WD Cosworth cable equivalent to Quinton Hazel QCC1585 it will be very long. You have to route it forwards from the pedal over the top of the exhaust the it turns back 180°close to the radiator and back to the gearbox.

Lots of people use the cable with no issues.

I've have always used the longer cable and never had one fail (yet) - as Richy says, run it between the exhaust pipes and it will cook.  If you run it well away from the exhaust with no sharp bends and secure it with a couple of clips ( or even cable ties) it will work well.

Have a look at the bottom of this page   https://nw.rhocar.org/htm/parts2.htm

Will check the size of the QC1585, maybe I can work with the one I bought already, if a longer one is needed.

*EDIT*
The one I got is even 50 cm longer then the QC1585.. I bought the QC1585, it will arrive in a few days.

Thanks!
