  1. Hi All I've been asked to post this by a friend who organises this fun day every year and they were hoping some of our members close by might like to attend. I may well make the trip down myself so if anyone fancies popping along that would be great. Anyway here's the info: Crook Cottage Stables are holding a Charity Family Fun Day in aid of local non-profitable Animal Rescue Centres in the local area and are after displays for the public to come and look at during the day. I wondered whether you would like to come along with your kit car and perhaps a few others for mainly the men and young boys to have a look round and possibly if allowed for them to sit in? We are trying to get as many displays as we can for males and females and with cars being a big thing amongst you men thought this would be of interest. Would you be able to ask your club/forum as to whether anyone would be interested in attending please. Fun day is on Sunday 24th August at Johnson Bothers Farm, Sutton Road, Walsall, WS4 0QN and starts at 10.00am. The show is held on a large field but the ground is good so it won't take out the bottom of your cars :-)) Would you mind asking for me please as we need to advertise the fun day and the more displays we can advertise hopefully the more people will come along.

  14. Hi Guys i Have decided to bite the bullet and upgrade the shocks from the original zimmermans to Procomps. However, my main question concerns the spring poundage I should be running. i know Procomp are good and should be able to give me the right springs, but I would like to have a ball park as to what these figures should be around. Car: RH2B, pinto 2L type9 gearbox, wishbone front suspension driver - around 19.5 stones (honest!) Car will usually be driven one up, but the odd occasion it would be 2 up. Please give me some pointers and impart your knowledge onto me Cheers Simon

    Sin City

    They is mad!
  16. Hi Jon Thanks for the advice, the leak has been found and fixed - it was the pipe that comes out of the top of the thermostat housing and would feed back to the expansion tank. this is blocked off as no expansion tank. The Jubilee clip had cut through the pipe - Pipe replaced = leak fixed.
  17. believe its an injection head
  18. Well thanks to Rob (CMA) and Andy (ozz) fault was easily fixed - split in the piece of tube used to block of the expansion outlet on the thermostat housing - all fixed! Shaft - I'd still like to strip the head down for the experience. list of items that I need to buy that would need replacing if this was done would be good
  19. Is that the "you don't have to be mad to do this, but it helps" pose
  20. Would be a good learning experience
  21. I'm hoping its something easy to sort and not too bad. Thanks to both CMA and Shaft for the offers. If its above my technical knowledge then I will be screaming help!
  22. Nick that would be a plan, but im not sure whether I can do it Saturday or Sunday as meant to be meeting Ron n Rob to discuss stuff Saturday afternoon. Ozz is calling round tomorrow, so we shall have a look at make sure its not something simples like a loose hose
  23. Shaft - in English please! Give me a customers computer network and I can rebuild it with my eyes closed. An engine is black magic to me!
  24. Thanks Dave, think i will add it to the order Hi Marcus, yes it is a pinto - looking to fit new thermostat, and water pump at the weekend. Just hope its not done anything to the head gasket as that will be going further than my knowledge allows
