beams are accross the drive and set a buzzer off which people can hear that in itself usually puts people off because they then know they have been spotted + if you are in you can look out they also set the cams recording an event so you can review if anyone has been nosing around, having had 5 cars broke into i got a bit sick of it... I'm a bit puzzled at what seems to be the current value of 2b,s etc they all seem to be around £3000 mark Rather than spending all that time effort and money it would seem better to buy one that's on the road with all the Iva hassle done and refinish it to your own taste? i,m thinking of this now to do a v8 / v6 conversion to rather than taking mine off the road.. where is this usualy fed from as ive noticed at night when i have all my lights on i get the ocassional stutter which never happens without lights so there must be a voltage / current drop to the coil i will just wire a new feed and ditch the old. one not tested yet just curious before i have a go Cheers Dan

I had probs with some of my warning lights at one point main problem i found was the left hand stalk on the steering was the fault dissconnected it and all was well replaced been fine ever sense this could just have been a thing to my car thou as the loom is a bit s**t. I,ve also increased the diameter of my bat cables etc this also helped matters.. Dan

i have the oregon atc3000 its only real downfall is the electronic iris it closes up at a hint of sunlight which makes the pics go black and the mic is a waste of time in a 7(I switch it off) if you use it in a tintop its fine. i think these were more aimed at mountain bikers / canoes etc but for the money you would be hard pushed to find anything better. when i have the money i,m going to get a portable 2 ch dvr with flash memory and use a high res cctv cam already experimented with a 520tvl high res cam and you get top gear like quality its just the dvrs are a bit expensive at the moment you can buy decent packages but you have to part with decent money..... as a hoodie i,m always trying to find the cheap alternative try speedtripledan channel on youtube if you want an idea of the oregan quality some is ok some a bit dark ie barkstone, of 2 hrs recording that was the best i could find all the rest was like it had been filmed at nght. To get the best out of it you will need a new dizzy or mod your own the advance needs to be 12deg at 1000rpm to 34deg at 5000rpm i used a bestek set up for this complete ignition system only requires +feed to coil and a grd to chassis £180 on ebay also you may want to consider that there is nowhere for the crankcase to vent other than atmosphere so i used a catch tank and vented that to the back of the car i hate the smell of oil ! also silly things like how you are connecting the throttle cable to the existing pedal etc an extra 6bhp was gained by the use of a vernier cam pulley, the car will also run hotter as a result of the power increase i had to improve my cooling by putting more vents into the engine bay etc a bit of effort and time required but well worth it I dropped lucky with a dyno but the car is much better now having done all this all in cost me the the wrong end of £600 (160 of that was the dyno) and i already had the carbs good luck Dan

It is easy to fit but there are other bits and bobs required i did mine and its the best thing i have ever done to the car. main thing is to get them dyno set up by someone who knows what they are doing.. Dan

Far sale 2.0L pinto with injected head and 205 bottom end. was taken out of my hood running fine didn't smoke, only problem is the cam shaft lobes are worn. this is just the engine no injection or carbs or dizzy Dry stored on engine stand for last 2 years was keeping as spare but want the space now £75 collected Dan

have you thought of using bestek £180 all in new dizzy control module and coil simple to fit 1 12 v + to coil and and 1 chassis grd i have this and it works a treat Dan

pintos and the like were used because they are from the last cheap mass produced rearwheel drive cars Sierras and before that mk2 escorts etc might not be the best nowadays but they are still quick in the right tune and fairly bomb proof some do seem to favor the vauxhall lumps but i still prefer fords, zetec will be the next one in mine Goodluck Dan

you would get more power by going down the bike carb route as i have done about 30bhp,mild cams don,t give much on there own seems about 7hp ish Dan

Great day out well pleased with getting my bike carb pinto 2b in the 58's, 3secs better than last year ! 10hp per second (30hp up on last year) thought my brother did well also never have'n driven the car before and got under 1m1sec going to make a new exhaust and start on some other track days Dan
