Ordered some seats and runners from GBS on Friday, but was told that the colour we wanted was not in stock I was then told that they were due in this week and I would have them on Thursday Well THEY CAME TODAY one day early, as ordered, and £5-00 less P&P than I was expecting. Is the pump lower than the tank outlet? Most injection pumps don't like to suck and need to be gravity fed. Steve

As far as I know nobody has got to the bottom of this, even the rover dealers could not help, all that is clear is they were a mix of engines from the 820 420 220 and turbo vairiants, purchased by robin hood circa 1995. Hi our steering column is to short and we are having to extend this, also the splines on the sierra column do not match the escort rack, but this may be due to the donor having adjustable steering and a power rack? Steve

Hi, I just ordered mine over the phone and deleted some parts that I did not want, and added others. As for the vat get them to make out the invoice in full and to show how much deposit is paid plus the outstnding balance that is to be paid on collection, invoices made out before Jan 1st are still at 15% even if they are paid later HTH Steve

Make sure the bolts are not to long? or the holes have not got crud in them causing the bolts to bottom out, if the bolts and faces are ok then you should not have a problem. Do not over tighten the bolts or fit bolts to another spec to allow this, as you will only cause more problems. I await to be shot down in flames Steve

GBS do some very small LED ones for about £10-00 for the pair and are easy to fit to the outside edge of the front wings, I know of 1 car that got through IVA with these no problem. HTH Steve

Is it not more about cost? I am sure GBS will take a part build back and finish it AT A COST, GBS will build you a car AT A COST, GBS will take a car for IVA AT A COST. There are also many adverts in the kit car mags for company's that will do all of the above AT A COST. The whole point being, how much will it cost to get a robin hood through IVA (total cost budget Build) and the same for a westie? I am now 3 weeks into a Zero build and really enjoying it, My other hood is a superspec that came out of the rh factory as a rolling chassis and was completed by some one else, but the basic kit was £7500-00 4 years ago, and the total bill was estimated at £11500-00 On a change of subject, I was looking at what to get the grandson for christmas and a westie is now at the top of the list as Im sure he will be able to put it together (he's 2) Steve

Hi Went to the local prop maker today and got a quote of £118-00 + vat for the zero, all new parts, and he seems to know what he is talking about (says he has completed the build on 5 kit's). I have never bought a prop before, so anything I should ask? Or look out for. Steve

Hi Nigel One of the reasons I asked the question is because the Zero rack is an extended Mk2 Escort rack, and I was not sure if they just cut and shut the rack, or welded on Sierra threaded ends? The rack that came with the kit is about 2.8 : 1, so should be ok Thanks for the ideas keep them comming Steve

Hi all Just started to mount the Zero steering rack and starting to find out what is not in the kit? Sourced some mounting rubbers, but what are the track rod ends off, can try the donor ones but they are still fitted to the power steering rack in a container at work in the "waiting to go on fleebay pile". Hi Ginzie First off How to http://nw.rhocar.org/reardiscs.htm If you do a search on here you will find loads of opinions, but most people fit what was on the donor 1) The sierra's brakes were up to the job, even with 5 people and a boot full of shopping. 2) Cost, why spend money you don't have to. 3) The brake biase valve will reduce the rear braking force, so why fit disks in the first place. I now wait to be shot down in flames By the way I have a Superspec WITH rear disks and am building a Zero WITH rear disks (but only because that was what the donor had) Steve

Just tried kit parts direct web site and it's not working so tried the Zero web site and yes this is not working too. Tried the links via the GBS web site, just the same? The 2b site has not worked for a while, does any one know what is goining on? I wanted to price up some bits for the zero and place an order for a couple of things, it looks as though I will have to wait, or find them elseware Matt it just shows how much work it takes to keep a site like this up 24/7. Just re fitted the head with new Hydraulic chain tensioner and chains, on a DOHC 8v, well after we built it back up the marks are out. The problem is we will need to re set the tensioner plunger! Searching the posts there is a ref to this, but how to is missing, and only a link to les welchers web site (that is not working) Does any one know how to do this. Thanks Steve

Don't take telephone calls at face value, the wife had a call to her mobile the other day saying they were from T-mobile and as her contract was due to renew she could have a new phone and a great deal on the network. When she said ok they said all they needed was a card number to cover the £2.50 price of the postage and to check the I.D. of the person they were talking to? The thing that made her think it was a scam was a telephone number came up on the screen, not the usual T-mobile. At work we get call's all the time from people that pretend to be from BT etc. etc. but when you ask them out right they are nowt to do with them. The latest one was from OFCOM she mumbeled the fist line and said OFCOM about 3 times in the first couple of seconds when I said how do I know you are from OFCOM she said I am not, I told you I am from ******* telecom and just checking you are getting the best service. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFO OVER THE PHONE make them write to you. Steve
