  1. Hi Bob, Fifty quid for forty minutes seems a bit steep to me if that's the cost to each driver. If that's the cost to the club, split between however many drivers there are, then I think it's a bargain. Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but the more I look at it the more it reads as £50 each driver - it's then twice the price of a normal RWYB ticket. But maybe I'm missing something. Perhaps I'd better shut up 'til I know what I'm on about ! Steve
  2. Should be able to make at least one of the days, possibly both. Steve

    Just Like To Say Hi.

Hi Dave, You'll never be short of something to do now ! You're welcome to have a look at my 2B and pick my brains (won't take long) - I can't be far away from you. I've sent you a PM if you want to get in touch. Steve

    Nissan Primera

I've been offered a deal I can't refuse on a relative's car, just need to sell the Nissan Primera I've got at the moment, so here it is - It's done 78000 miles, MOT'd to June 2011, Taxed to May 2011. It's got the 2 litre petrol engine & 6 speed gearbox. I fitted the tow bar to it last year so that I could tow my 2B to loads of track days, well maybe not loads, well actually only Barkston last year and this! but it does tow well. I use it pretty much every day and wouldn't be thinking of selling if it wasn't for the offer of the other car. If anyone on here is interested I'm looking for £2000. Photos below, any questions just ask, if you want to have a look and a prod at it send me a PM. Cheers Steve (Foz) Now gone .............. thanks Steve .
  5. Hi Tim, bits have arrived and look great, all I need now is a good excuse for a day or two in the garage. Thanks very much, Steve
  6. I've replaced the original sierra servo with a KA master cylinder on my 2B. Works well for me, gives a pretty good feel & you can still lock 'em up without needing both feet on the pedal. I think the bore on that is about 3/4" Have a shufty at "Help - Master Cylinder" in the "Maintenance & Modifications" section. HTH Foz
  7. Just managed to get a look under the bonnet & it is piped as I thought - two unions at the back (bulkhead end) go to the two front calipers, the one at the front goes to the rears. I fitted mine some time last year & it's worked a treat for me and passed the MOT brake test no problem. I've got an adjustable regulator in the line to the rear drums which I don't think you can get through IVA nowadays, with it wound out (full pressure to back) the rears do occasionally lock first. You may have to experiment a bit, and stock up on clean underwear ! HTH Foz
  8. Yes, I lashed one up from a piece of 8mm threaded bar with a nut and a couple of washers where it went through the pedal, and then adjusted the nut until I got the right length - You need to make sure you can get full travel of the cylinder should you spring a leak on one circuit. It's easy to check the travel before you fill with fluid, not so easy after - guess who learnt this the hard way ! Once I'd got the length right I made a new one up from a piece of decent quality steel bar, but I'm sure you could adapt the original, I just happened to have a nice bit of bar lying around waiting for a use ! I'll confirm the piping as soon as I can. Foz
  9. I've got a KA master cylinder on mine & it works a treat. Can't get at the car just at the moment but I'm pretty sure that I piped the 2 rear outlets to the front calipers and the front outlet goes to a pressure regulator & on to the back brakes. The reservoir doesn't look quite right but works fine, I've marked a line across the top to give me a full level. I used it to replace the standard sierra servo/master cylinder set up & it feels so much better to me now, before it was far too easy to lock up the fronts. I'll double check the piping at the w/e & let you know if I'm talking rubbish! HTH Foz

    5 Yokohama Tyres

I have 5 195/50 x 15 Yokohama S306 tyres for sale. They were on my car when I bought it - I've now swapped to 205/50s. The spare has never been on the road, the other 4 have done less than 5K. They're just getting in my way now so you can have 'em for £80 the lot (buyer collects). Photo below, any other questions just ask. Steve.
  13. Just had my renewal quote through from Adrian Flux and found out that they have kept my credit card details from last year, and will renew my insurance automatically if I don't tell them not to !!! There is a small note in their T&Cs saying that they'll do this - does anybody read all the small print ? Needless to say I'll be looking a lot closer in the future and recommend that you do the same. I've shan't be renewing with Flux, after a short while on the phone I've gone with Graham Sykes & saved myself £25 for the same cover. Hope this note saves anyone else getting caught out. Steve.
  14. Just seen photos of my car at Barkston ......... ooh eck !! Put me down for an option 1 please - no rush, I probably won't get round to it before winter. Cheers, Steve Foster
  15. Hi Steve, Yes, put me down for that passenger ticket please - I'll stick the cheque in the post over the w/e. Cheers Foz PS sorry Brian .... if the boss changes her mind again I'll let you know.
