  1. I have just changed my 1992cc Pinto for a 1998cc Red Top and had no problems with the DVLA. Just filled in the appropriate boxes on my old V5. The person who sold me the Red Top sent me a receipt via email, so there was no signature in the receipt i printed off. Put both together and posted and waited for the fun, but my new V5 was delivered showing the new engine number and the changed cc about 3 weeks later.

About time you joined THE CLUB. You will have a great time retired that's if you are "retiring". There will still be weddings to do I guess and the occasional prom night. You can try to walk the legs off Oscar but I think you are on a looser there. I'll bet Carole has a small list of "things" we (you) should now have time for or get around to. Sometime has just arrived! All the very best M&D
  3. Sounds like a good day out, we are about an hour away so we are not planning a stopover unless something changes.

We will be up for it, was a great day last year till the sky emptied itself.
  5. He comes into our village at 5:58 and leaves at 6:37 that's 1/2 mile in 39 seconds makes it 46.15 mph the limit is 40. But this is exactly what a motorcyclist did less than a year ago, he died, but the poor person who was coming the other way was badly injured just because the biker was going too fast and he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. We can see the junction from our window and there are accidents there regularly. That's why all the signs are there!!!! As Andi says it’s a bad bit of road. Inexcusable he lives about a mile from this junction so should know all about it.
  6. Congratulations, enjoy! M&D
  7. Happy Birthday Sir Chris. Hope you had a great day, hope to see you at Donnington. M&D
  8. Please count Marilyn & Me in too. Hopefully we can get on the field next year.
  9. Will be there, subject to weather!
  10. Great weekend, thanks Steve for organising it. Great to meet new friends and catch up with the old ones! Thanks to all who helped me with the wipers, donations of tie wraps and good advice got them working again. Dry run home, no rain at all here today. Spent the afternoon cleaning the sprayon cr4p off the car and finding the reason for the loss of power; turned out to be the paper air filter had turned to mush (papier mache) and was blocking the intake. All set for Newark.
  11. I don't mind driving around the arena but IMHO it would be a bit risky if that were to progress into doughnuts etc. As Nick says, there is only lightly to be a rope stopping a member of the crowd straying out of their permitted area and the same rope is not lightly to stop a car if it makes a bid for freedom through the spectators. Rides in cars I don't have a problem with as long as the contribution to the charity is totally voluntary and we are prepared to give rides to anyone who has signed a disclaimer, that way you are not being paid or accepting payment (even a donation) for a ride in the car. It is not on the public roads. To stop the burns chuck Nicks mankini over the exhaust before letting the public in or out.
  12. We can only make the Saturday. I will fill in the form and get it sent off in the next couple of days.
  13. Steve, can you put Marilyn and myself down for this outing please?
  14. A very good friend of mine is winding up his auto parts business, so he has some stock that may be of interest to somebody on here. I will follow with other parts but for now here a list of the brake disc's he has on stock, prices do NOT include postage/courier. If you are interested in anything please PM me. Hi Lee, Can you put Marilyn & I down for the weekend please? Managed to get a room for Saturday at the A66 Motel but no rooms left for Friday so we are going to find somewhere else nearby.
  16. (D) There's a strange aroma in here and its definitely coming from your direction. (P) If I stare straight ahead perhaps I will get away with it!
  17. Steve and Mrs G Our sincere condolences for the loss of Mrs Grizzly' father, unexpected loss must be a terrible shock. Look after yourself, get well soon Marilyn & Derek.
  18. Another lightly pencilled couple here please. There is a 0 birthday for one of us next year so I need to gain some points to go where I want in '13. Marilyn & Derek.
  19. Hope you had a great day Chris. Very best wishes to you and Carol. Marilyn & Derek.
  20. Thanks Stephen for another cracking weekend. Hope the Morgan trip went well and you enjoyed your birthday without too much alcoholic blur creeping in too early. Best wishes M&D
  21. Had a blow out in my left wellie once, went spinning off into the undergrowth no real damage but had to be towed to the nearest PUBc (pedestrian urban breakdown centre ) A walk sounds good to us but I cannot see any in that list that are local to Whichford.
  22. Our thanks to Steve for organising such a fantastic week. New experiences almost every second. Learnt a whole lot more about the sacrifice our ancestors made. Cemented friendships with our fellow travellers. And why not to commit to a menu where soup or salad can change to stuffed pasta in a mist of translation! Hay Ho, another beer here please. M&D. PS 1001 not only cleans a big big carpet, its the miles I covered in one week, door to door, but I'm sure others did more.

    Im A Dad

Many congratulations to you all. Guess we wont be seeing you at the Waterside, perhaps the bedside or cot-side. M&D
  24. Just to let those coming this way...... A46 is a building site from just north of Melton Mowbray all the way up to Newark. 40 mph all the way. Around A52 Saxondale Island is particularly bad.
