  1. Good luck with it all.
  2. I've got everything I need, I'm going to pipe up all the coolant system tomoz afternoon then tackle the hole for the pedal box again at the weekend after a little break from it.
  3. To late, £350 for a 71k mile Corsa C was to good to refuse, needs the timing chain fix and the gear link fix and I'm sorted!
  4. That's how I felt after John did my mounts for me then the pedal box foiled me! Hope you don't get foiled!
  5. What management system are you going for?
  6. You seem to have a little more room each side than mine. Looks good though.
  7. Space is a real issue though that's what's so annoying about it, I should have done it properly in the first place when I had an empty engine bay. Thanks for the offer Al, I'll look at all options this week.
  8. Thanks, I might give it a go. John (olwman) will have to attack it with a disc cutter and brut force otherwise!
  9. That's exactly what I've been looking on google trying to work out if it would be upto the job.
  10. After a good day of lining bits up yesterday and plumbing in the swirl pot I've taken a few steps back today! Bloody pedal box again! I plumbed in all the copper pipes for the brakes and went to fit the reservoirs and realised the hole I had cut in the stupid slanted footwell bulkhead wasn't big enough! Out came the swirlpot etc and I tried to get in there to cut the hole bigger and I just can't! I can't get anything in there at the right angle. Ended up loosing it and trying to bend the edges to make the hole big enough. Now looks a total mess! Think I might need the worlds smallest disc cutter/angle grinder to fit in and cut!
  11. It's all off and all in one piece, ready to be hacked at for the starter.
  12. I have a facet lookalike and I had no choice but to mount it above the outlet for my tank and it pulled the fuel through. That's with a very low tank of fuel so hardly any pressure pushing the fuel out the tank.
  13. Thanks!! That'll teach me to rush!
  14. Hi, just tacking my two piece sump off, taken off the ten bolts joining it to the block expecting it to lift away after a broke the seal however there's some something stopping it at the bottom pully end. Any clues? I don't want to damage anything.
  15. Thanks, already had the blanking plug. I confirmed with the place I got the loom and ECU that all will be fine. Base map is set at my exact set up. Should I expect chug or cautious zoom?

Ditto to that, I fitted a facet lookalike today and it's stupidly loud!
  17. Im thinking of getting a corsa for my girlfriend as the clio she has at the moment leaks all over her from the sunroof and it's pretty old now. I can get one from someone I work with for a bargain etc. However it has a ticking time chain, is this tick caused by the tensioner? Is just replacing this part a quick and far cheaper fix? Or would the engine still tick? Thanks in advance!
  18. Where are they based? I've looked at the cycle wing brackets they make for cortina hubs but read various posts across the net of how they simply don't fit! These posts are all quite old though so I'm wording if they've sorted them out! Your post suggests maybe not!!?
  19. I have a 38 for sale in the section.
  20. I've just bought an engine loom from harnessing solutions, their service has been second to none!
  21. Thanks Nigel, only just saw your picture, that's exactly what I plan to do, great minds!! Just taking a look at my loom, it has a plug for an O2 sensor, after reading up about it on the Omex site it's basically just an option to keep emissions down, seeing as that's not an issue for us guys at the mo can it just go unused? Put another way, will the base map run? Or will it be expecting a sensor? Thanks again!
  22. I should have just given you my number, you could have cut out the middle man. Thanks very much though!
  23. Hi, Has anyone got any photos that show a before and after with the zetec sump and the chopping needed to fit the starter? Once I've got that and my mounts sorted I'll be turning the key a couple of days later!
