Ken, as you probably know RWD cars run best with the front wheels parallel or with just a touch of toe in. This creates stability but causes slow steering response. Have you tried giving the steering a big dose of toe out to see whether that will induce any sort of inclination for the car to self centre? I know it's not right but it will show if things can be made to work. There are hundreds of 2Bs out there that have got reasonable to good self centring without having to resort to new wishbones, so you should be able to sort this out. Don't you also need extended dummy struts if fitting wishbones with altered geometry?

Give it a couple of days driving and try using the brakes hard, you might just need to get used to non servo brakes. Alternatively a longer pedal to give more leverage could help. I have standard Sierra discs and drums with mintex pads and it works for me.

The cylinder capacity is measured in a couple of ways. There's water capacity which is what gives you the 10 litres for the refillable cylinder that you have linked to. Then there is the compressed gas capacity which is the water capacity multiplied by the cylinder pressure. In this case it's 200 bar or 200 x atmospheric pressure. So 10 x 200 = 2000 litres or 2 cubic metres of gas. The 110 litre disposable bottle will be something like 1 litre water capacity at 110 bar.

I watched it on TV over the weekend and now seriously considering going again next year for the return of Ford with their new GT cars.

The weather up here isn't looking too good at the weekend either, so I had a drive up to Hawes via Settle, Horton in Ribblesdale and Ribblehead today. Beautiful weather and scenery to match.

Thanks to all that turned out to Tatton Park this weekend. Standing room only on the pitch yesterday, today there were only four of us brave/foolish enough to brave the weather. It finally stopped raining about noon and then we had a lovely afternoon.

Programme about Jaguar recreating six lightweight E-type. Should be interesting.

If it's like mine the rattle will be the buttons on the camera. I cured it by fitting some small pieces of self adhesive foam to the case that was shaped to hold the buttons steady but not interfere with the operation of the buttons on the outer case.

Hi All, the passes are due to arrive at my house this week, so you should all get them early to middle of next week.
