  1. My DOHC sump did not have the extra capacity extension added.

I never had an oil problem.

The suggestion of a gate hinge baffle across the point where the extension fits makes sense to me.

How much did you cut from the pickup? mine was only about 1/4 inch above and parallel to the flat bottom.

  2. Looks good .

I hope you don't need that 1" that you have just lost under the seats. I am a shorty but needed every mm I could gain to stop me having to look through the top rail of the windscreen when driving. My seats are fitted with the front up, to give a little layback position ( to allow knees bent driving ),

  3. My MT75 was mounted just as your picture. I modified the stick to be very short, so really a quick shift. I had no problem with it as the stick was free to move back and forth as the gearbox moved, there was nothing locking it in place....

My guess is a faulty gearbox, not the change mechanism.

  4. The holes had to be fettled to fit the chassis ( which wasn't square side to side. The front of the panels I have spaced off to be tight to the fibreglass nose cone.. the right angled bottom bit is screwed to the chassis wherever it meets. so I have an empty wedge going forward. Its a case of whatever you fancy doing. There is no right or wrong !!!

  5. I don't think that can will survive a speed bump !!!

My car has always un with motorcycle cans . Mostly from R1s .I have never noticed a restriction.

The 1800 turbo engine has 4 x 450cc pots to 7500revs. The bike had 4 x 248 cc pots to 18000 revs -- so should handle volume etc.

(Easy to change too !! )

  6. There was a later version of Terry's paper. It had the tunnel top and the rings for silencer spacing on !! It was the silencer wrap that confused me, most of the other bits were fairly obvious. what you haven't got can be easily fabricated. My build straightened the bulkhead so I made a new site for the battery.

  7. He saved the weight by changing the body panels and not fitting the windscreen. I like his attitude.

He removed the RHE parts that he couldn't fit his selected lump with and built new. I cut and shut the originals.

With his new chassis members he was able to dispense with "the plough" , I wish I had done that !.

His exhaust manifold is a bit complex, I just ran straight out over the chassis. What's with the lambda sensor?

It looks a great car and bet its fun to drive, he will have lost the low down grunt the original flywheel provided, but who ran a low revs ""
