Before too many people run off with the idea that a monocoque is difficult to IVA who has real experience of this. Not just stories a mate told you or something you read on a website, even Rhocar.

I accept that the lightweight, which was a monocoque made up of riveted together aluminium panels, was not practical unless much strengthening was carried out and even then probably shouldn't have passed.

The S7 through to New 111 monocoques were welded mild or stainless steel bodies and a very different proposition.

The Quantum Extreme which is a stainless steel monocoque is still in production and selling and they pass IVA.

I have emailed vosa technical department to see if I can clarify these points.

In addition to Andy's link for the Robin Hood model identification, I'm sure the model name "2b" came from the fact that the chassis was "tubey". On this basis, a monocoque cannot be a 2b?

Definatly a s7, and even if you've got 2b paperwork, something dodgy is going on!!!!

Right this is getting confusing now I think I have paper work for a 2b not 100% sure but it is not tubular chassis all running gear is from. A 1992 sierra . I took car as a px not really clued up on it i was told it was a 2b what are your honest opinions and valuation
