Under Car Seat Brace Fixing

I have this fitted to the underside of my car:

The previous owner had fitted it to the car with a couple of long M6 bolts through the chassis tubes.

To me this doesnt seem like sufficient fixing, so I was wondering how others have fixed theirs.

Do I up the bolt size to M8 or should i weld it to the side tubes?

Also any images of the inner seatbelt mounts would be greatly received.

Think the fixings in my seats are M8. There is a good section in the IVA manual that covers te requirement for seat fixings. They recommend minimum of 100mm x 100mm x 4mm steel plates and that rears should be under car (plate-floor-seat) and fronts inside car (floor-plate-seat).

that looks like a lot of overkill to mine..... i have 1 brace that collects the rear seat mounts and the handbrake..... i bit of 1" angle or maybe box (not looked this week), with a few plates comming off the sides

I ran box section from left to right on the front and back of the seats which was also bolted through the car for the inner seat belt mounts onto angle iron in the tunnel.

Hi guys had a quick play around while I should be working.

Can anyone tell me if this arrangement will work?

Bottom i 40x40x5mm angle and uprights are 30x6mm flat bar.

My intention is to keep everything parallel with the top tubes so I don't have to cut panels.
