try carb to hose my jubilee clips slipped letting air in when booted and engine rocking ,after a bit they suck back on

well checked flywheel that's tight changed coil pack and leads checked spark plugs and still got same problem

Have you check float levels of carbs ?

Is the fuel tank vented?

I had a very similar think with my blackbird engine in my car. Basically, the carbs ran out of fuel if I boot it for a sustained period of time. I've pretty much sorted it by putting in a low pressure high flow facet pump with a fuel pressure gauge and regulator.

thanks for your suggestions but if it was a lack of fuel then it wouldn't miss fire it would just loose power the car ran fine for a few weeks didn't do anything to it went out on a run and it started changed coil pack today ran fine for about fifteen minutes then it started again

Can you run it in limp home mode and see if it still does it. To eliminate MJ

well just took it for a spin just running eddis and still had the problem so megajolt is ok got a spare eddis so will try swopping that

got a spare crank sensor aswell so will try that also

also checked carb diaphrams no problems there

I found a sparer edis 4 box under the bench this afternoon if you need another mower man

Hmmmm! Baffling,

I have some inline spark testers somewhere if you want to try that. Or do you know which cylinders arnt firing?

that's the problem andi it only does it when cruising at tickover its fine by the time you stop and get bonnet off it is back to normal you drive off accelerate up to cruising speed then it starts again
