Rear Diff

Well after stripping gearbox down seems it is not the gearbox oh sugar I said this means diff no good has any one got one not being used sat in garage it's a sierra diff I am after thanks on advance or is it just easier to recon mine?

Well got diff stripped down its a 3.38 ratio and might need a pinion drive gear so need to find where to get one oh well gearbox is refurbished so may as well do diff oh and it had snapped the split pin that holds the crown cogs in place making good the shaft slide and cause the problems

I do have a spare 7.5" bolt on shafts.

Don't know ratio, or or if LSD or open.

If you want, I will strip rear plate off in the coming week and find out for you.

Unless someone knows numbers for LSD types.

I kno about ratio numbers or how to find it if no numbers.

I do know where it came from and its in a1 condition.

Crown wheel and pinion are matched pairs

You can't just buy a pinion and fit

You could do what Colin Chapman did on one occasion when in the same situation, fit the mismatched pinion, fill diff with metal polish, run it on the road for 20 mins then strip the diff completely and replace all bearings.
