also hacked the air filter just glued the foam to underside of bonnet

Neat looking job and pleasantly different with the 4 holes

It does look good. I was contemplating cutting my bonnet for the air intakes but I wouldn't dare do four separate round holes. Too many things to go wrong measurement wise. What did you cut them with? I just put an air vent in today and started off with an angle grinder, too aggressive, tried a hacksaw blade, too slow then found my weapon of choice to be the old faithful jigsaw. The bonnet is such an awkward thing to hold when you are cutting though, makes it a lot harder.

It's aluminum bonnet so just used hole saw then finished off with a file

had to make small change the foam filter was being sucked into number one carb so binned that and fitted some mesh

also managed to move the carbs by about half inch cut a bit off silicone hoses just to give a bit more clearance under bonnet
