found the problem with mine it was the sender unit sicking crap from the bottom of the tank which I did clean out previously but must of missed a few bits so fitted new pump put a filter on the fuel pipe coming out the tank seems to have sorted it fingers crossed

been taking out for few runs to make sure everything ok and ended up changing fuel pump and adding a header tank so hopefully was sorted then started to kangaroo but oops forgot to put fuel in so level was to low lol

Looking in to coil overs but want to enjoy the car while weather nice so was gonna do coil overs over winter

Just put springs and new shockers on back of car and now the spring seems to have grown and is very close to the drive shaft will escort mk4 rear springs fit? If not them what will apart from sierra?

Thanks for that will check fuel tank over weekend too see if that is the cause as checked everything else nearly apart from the shaft that drives the pump but found my spare one lol if not will wire up electric one and try that

other question is whats best way to wire up a electric fuel pump?

stuttering only when you boot it steamer then will cut out give it a few minutes then will start again and run and drive until you boot it again

had a look and cant find anything on it. when I put my boot down it stutters as not enough fuel so am I right thinking the mechanical pump is breaking down or is it the shaft what rotates to make the pump feed fuel. so easy option is electric fuel pump but what psi is needed as found a pump what pumps 3-6 psi is that enough to fuel a 2.0 pinto?

yeah got it mick but did not no it was capri struts instead of sierra ones cheers peter are there not any other shocks could use with the eye loop on top in stead of the long bolt type?

hi I have just fitted the zimmeride coilovers as temporary fix but with no damping adjustment so am going to be changing them soon but wanted to no what it best fully closed and fully open coilover to use on rear only and the height of the car sits higher so will need to a slightly shorter shocker so car not sat as high may hanks in advance

I have an old fire extinguisher co2 for mig adapted so can be refilled something my dad did for me and works great.

That's better condition than mine was when I got mine I swapped for a 1000cc suzuki gsxr k3 which stood me at 4 so Imo worth it as long as log book states robin hood s7

simon you got any pics of how you fitted coil overs? here is a couple of pics of what i could do with coil overs but unsure as to what clearance is best for rear wheel. there will be a plate on the other side as a spreader plate so not to rip a hole in the car. would this hold?and do the job.
