    5 Arrays

Rang GBS yesterday. They have four. Apparently the last four in the country. £100 each. Think I'll just spray mine.

    5 Arrays

Looking for 5 Arrays in VGC The ones that Robin Hood / GBS used to supply (15 x 6J x 15mm offset). Are there any left?
  4. Thought I'd share this one with you. The wethergear works well, but it makes the cabin really dark & gloomy. Took the plunge and got this fitted: I sealed the stitched seams with sikaflex. Not very pretty, so don't look too close - The best thing is, of course - No leaks! It really does make the cabin so much more lighter and I'm well pleased with it. Is this a first?
  5. Get Prop certified as OK by Propshaft Clinic - Refurb if required. Grease drive shafts and new gaiters/boots maybe. Refurb front brake calipers Bigg Red ? Greenstuuf pads and shoes. Refurb wheels (The Wheel Specialist) but the price is a bit scary. Toyo T1Rs all round. Also considering an engine swap. Well, that's the Wish List anyway. I'd best go and have a quiet word with the wife

    Bonnet

Cheers. I may just do that. Thanks...
  7. We saw a few of these at the Nurburgring. Very tasty. I'm pretty sure you cannot get them in kit form.

  11. Hi Nick, Have you seen this? No Pintos, but he may be worth a call. Certainly has loads of other bits.
  12. ... and neither do you have anything, when you've bought it with your own money in a lot of cases.

I think Delia means bigger arc
  14. This happens quite often, especially on the continent. Nice feeling isn't it. The first time this happened to me, I thought I'd been got by a speed camera!
  15. Hi Steve, Pretty sure they're std metric. Can't remember what M size though. For good measure, I got longer ones that'd take a Nyloc as well.
  16. That's what I was led to believe also. However, I met up with Terry (tazzzzman1) on the way to the Stafford Show. His car was gleaming. He recommended The Polishing Shop. Need to find out if he had to do each panel in it's entirety, or just selected areas though??? Maybe he'll be along soon.....

    For Sale

Hi Richard, Sorry, the offset is the issue. My arrays have an offset of 15mm, so these Zeta wheels would be 23mm further inboard (according to my reckoning). This would mean that they'd foul on the cycle wing brackets, so it's a no-go for me. Thanks anyway. Regards... Steve.

    Which Oil?

Sorry Dean, You clearly said 2.0 Pinto - Doh! Yes, 20w/50 for me too. These Pinto's were designed for it, well before this new-fangled stuff was invented (which is far too thin). Aim to change every 3000 miles or so, although I let mine go a bit longer as it holds nearly 5 litres.

    V6

Hi All, A collegue at work is refurbishing a TVR from the ground up. As part of this exercise, he's sourced a Cosworth V6 lump. He's offered me the following (could be many months away) FOC: Ford Cologne 2.9 12V with Type 9 box. 93,000 miles. It has EFI including the Loom & ECU. Good opportunity to check the clutch out etc, but feel a bit daunted as regards to the engine with this amount of mileage. Initial thoughts: I've asked if the headers are included. I'm not sure what would need to done with engine mounts? Obviously, I'd need to source an additional exhaust can and re-fabricated piping etc. I'd also need a 6 cylinder Rev Counter (Capri?). I'm sure there's probably a heap of other stuff to consider? This lump should give me around 170bhp. I'm already intending to enhance the front braking system and get some decent tyres anyway. Fully realise that Big Lee will be shouting at me to 'Go for it!' Comments appreciated. TIA...
  21. Hi All, Dave at Dampertech recommended to me that I fit a retaining strap. I made mine out of an old cam belt. This is to prevent the shock from over-extending when it gets to it's full limit of travel and taking the full weight of the trailing arm. Really important, being as we're all a load of crazies taking off at every hump-back bridge eh?
