    Kill Switch

Hi, I've seen a few people have iva problems with kill switches in the cab. I can't see anything in the iva manual about having to have one. Are people fitting them as an isolator or emergency shut off? Was thinking of leaving it off until post iva or fit an isolator on the battery. D
  2. Polo shirt is great thanks... D

    Iva And Mirrors

What centre mirror is recommend for iva when no screen is fitted. There are a few around but which is most iva friendly? Cheers D
  5. Just buy tickets for camping and entry at the gate? Cheers
  6. Hi, Got the weekend off and will be going, wanting to stay over Sun night. Do I book directly through the show site or is there a group booking thing? I'll be coming in a tin can so no kit car discount. Cheers D
  7. Went for this in the end... http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B000052036/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_details_o00_s00_i00 Enough for 2 doors and looks same as the jaseals one. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks D
  8. Hi me again, After painting garage floor am finding that rain seems to pool under the door more. I've a >2cm gap under the door. I was looking at either a lip strip on the floor or a rubber strip on the door. Pics seem to suggest the rubber door strips go on the back of the door but wouldn't they be better on the front? Which do people find more effective? Thanks David
  9. Hi, I've standard garage door locks on standard steel up and over doors (210mm width) and am wondering about beefing up security a bit. Ideally I'd like to be able to open the doors from inside and outside but might not be possible. Garage is alarmed with the house but would like to put off light fingered scumbags. Seen different types just wondered what people recommend. Thanks David
  10. The only problem with work is they insist I turn in occasionally or they don't pay me. I was stupid enough to marry a divorce lawyer so careful is my middle name...
  11. Yes, mine is resting in the garage til my college work is done in a couple of weeks. Have managed to get garage floor painted, ordered iva radius measure and sierra Haynes. It's a start... D
  12. You mean "F" tight everything? Cheers D
  13. Hi, Dumb question time... Reading my tiger build manual, it's all a bit vague. I was expecting something a little more like a Haynes service manual. I can't find any torque settings for any bolts, I thought about a sierra haynes but the suspension joints will be different so not the same torque? Being a keen DIYer and no engineer I need a little more spoon feeding than the manual provides. Thanks David
  14. Just looked at caterham the pics have gone from the current version, just a checklist now. If you sign up you can download their build manual that has check list and a "getting ready for IVA" section you can download. File is 11mb so a bit big to email out. I could prob cut and paste the relevant bits into a word doc to make it a more email friendly size if anyone wants it. Cheers D
  15. The chap I bought mine off had a file with iva stuff in it. One file was an iva checklist with handy pics, it was a download from Caterham. Have a look on their website. If its not there I'll see if I can scan it in and post it somewhere coz it looks very useful. D
  16. Brilliant! Many thanks that's a big load off my mind. :-) D
  17. Do you think it would work to do half the garage, wait til dry, move the car over then do the other side? As its an old surface do I need any special clean up, other than a good brushing, before sealant? Cheers D
  18. Thanks, wasn't sure you could do that. D

    Decibel Apps

I've yet to look into what I've got but its prob Tiger kit issue and bloomin loud. Quite thought on here there would be an IVA can that members moved amongst each other when the need arose.
  21. Hi, Looking to get roll bar powder coated or equivalent ideally in the wakey, Doncaster, York area. Any recommendations? Cheers D

    Decibel Apps

Hi, Anyone used a decibel app and are they accurate enough to prevent a nasty surprise at iva? Is there such a thing as an IVA silencer that can be changed after? Struggling to find a repackable one. Cheers D
