  1. I have chrome ones, but want smaller, lighter (no pun intended) chrome ones.
  2. The wife says black, but I say silver...(due to the fact you might sell the black ones to me).
  3. Sound exactly like the fuel hose I had to remove, felt cheap compared to the replacement hose I got.
  4. A couple of quick updates while I attend to our tow car & caravan before the next big RHOCAR meeting: Stoneleigh show is over, I can now start tinkering again New indicators fitted New handbrake gaiter fitted New gearstick gaiter fitted Hollowell booked and the RH2B shopping list for the dark months is getting bigger and bigger.....!
  5. Does anybody have any input/updates on this Accuspark stealth device and accessories? Is it worth the effort?
  6. Great show, great weather, lot's of food and drink and above all 'a great bunch of hoods!'. It was our first ever visit and all the family say "thank you!" and it was great to put a few faces to all the people who have been helping us get the car on the road over the last couple of months. Enjoyed it so much, we are now filling in the forms for the next event "Hollowell Steam" and this time, will attempt to park the caravan in the correct field
  7. Glad you guys made it home safe.....! U guys managed to get home before I even left the pub , but no worries about the off licence, got a nice glass of ice cold vodka when I got in. Fantastic experience driving in the dark with the dim headlights, but bloody freezing cold without the side pieces and a t-shirt. Tractor, any chance you can send me the details on the halogen bulb fittings and where U got the wet gear clips on the windscreen? I agree the speed cameras are a pain and continue all the way into brum, but are supposed to be switched off if you are willing to risk it
  8. No tinkering allowed on the 2B, so had to take my other toy out of retirement:
  9. The site seems to be playing up: Please try this: http://s1275.photobucket.com/user/Dino2B/story/123697
  10. Cheers Ian....Hopefully it works now.....???
  11. Wife has banned me from tinkering until after the Stoneleigh Kit Car Show. So decided to see what Photo bucket is and update that with some photos. I hope this works: http://s1275.photobu...2B/story/123685
  12. Ian, is that bungee rope on the front of the car bonnet?
  13. Cheers Guys.......As Mr Mower Man informs us "drop em blossom!!!" and I will see how it feels after trying 18 and 20 (oooeerr missus).
  14. WOW....Love the layout of the engine bay and the positioning of the radiator means you get the best of all the cool breeze blowing into it. Mental note for winter fixes, Must work on the engine and cooling system and start collecting bits from an old Polo for the radiator etc. That radiator looks very small to fit into the front....what's it off? Meantime, I might just place the tube into a temporary aluminium bike water bottle and attach to the side of the chassis to collect the toxic overflow.
  15. Really....I should have 20 psi in my tyres I have been doing test runs in my 2B with 195/65 14 tyres with approx. 30psi Would this explain why the car feels so light on the front end and a little unstable at high speed 70mph?
  16. Sitting at work thinking....... Should my Radiator has an expansion tank? I keep finding a little puddle of water under the radiator every time I come to using the car but cannot find any leaks. I remember yesterday after a little test drive, that the temperature sensor was showing 90 and the fan was howling. I opened the bonnet and cannot remember seeing an expansion tank, but a small hose hanging down. Could this be the culprit?
  17. Meantime - As Sunday was a washout and all the shops were closed I decided (against the wife's wishes) to remove the tread plate from the rear and quickly build a boot to put the wet/breakdown gear in: I now need to just put a locking door on the existing boot cover and re-attach this weekend.
  18. Speedo - Thought I would attempt to fix the speedo this weekend. Trace the wiring to what looks like a sensor attached at the end of the propeller shaft before the rear axle. Looked thru the forums for ideas and found there should be magnets attached to the shaft. Re-checked and sure enough found scratch marks on the shaft and 2 different sized magnets thrown but stuck to the underneath of the car (could have been there for years or after my speedo broke). To cut the story short, I have since stuck the magnets back onto the shaft and took it out for another spin 24 hours later. The speedo is now working, but not correctly. During cruising at 30mph the speedo sensor seems to be registering OK, But as soon as I accelerate hard the speedo then seems to miss or stop registering (drops off). Any ideas... Could a magnet had fell off and it's not registering correctly as speed increases? I know nothing about the sensor and have no documentation, I was curious if I may have stuck the wrong magnets on incorrectly (or the wrong way round) as they were different sizes and strength. I have got back under the car to check the magnets have stayed on, but can only see one at the moment. Will update later, if I manage to get under the car tonight to check if second magnet is still attached.

    Seats

I have a pair of the standard build seats in my garage, just removed them in the last couple of months. Good condition. The wife said £20 and they are yours
  20. Hmmm....Thinking about it - It's the quietest I have ever known the wife and her hands never left the dashboard In fact I think the nails are still embedded and I require the pliers for extraction.
  21. Yes local metal factory: http://www.forwardmetals.co.uk/ (Forward Metals) helped out with any aluminium panels, tread plates etc. cut to size. Great guys and very helpful.
  22. Great News everybody....Car is finally free.....No more days confined to the garage.... Booked a day off work...Got it tax'd & tested and been flying around the the A45 and Kenilworth bypass testing the auto box and engine. I must say...It will be the long hot summer car for the lazy boy.... Dumped the kids and took the wife out for a quick spin and returned a couple of hours later with a big, big......SMILE! Pity the rear N/S drum smells of burning and the speedometer packed up.... But hell of a fun drive and worth the work to get it up and running over the last couple of months. We just need to gain a little more confidence and trust in the car before taking it on the long runs Thank you to everybody's help and roll on the kit car show at Stoneleigh.
  23. Holy Moly just watched the video (I recognise the yummy V8)....But looking at all the events and stands....My poor credit card will take such a bashing
  24. Gutted....looks like you picked a great day out.....If only I could've got our car on the road in time.
