If you go for mini wiper motor try to get 2 speed unit as it has a self park unit fitted to it

Just fitted an accuspark electronic dizzy, coil, 8mm silicon leads n Iridium plugs and car started straight up, but ticking over about 1200 revs, timing marks (8deg BTDC on pulley I think??) looked way out with strobe but when brought into alignment engine seemed to slow down n not run as smooth, on road test it seemed to be pinking quite badly. Can anybody recommend ignition settings (possibly with diagram of cast pulley marks) for a 2L (205 block) engine to help me out Thanks in advance ( no pun intended lol) Harry

Thanks for the help guys, it is much appreciated, I've been looking at accuspark kits on ebay (dizzy, coil, leads n plugs) and was wondering will one kit fit all as I think my dizzy is a Motorcraft one ( black dizzy cap, spring contact on top of black rotor arm), or are there kits to replace Bosch and Motorcraft separately?

Engine idles steadily and it is a 'popping' in the exhaust (like a backfire), when the revs are dropped and then the accelerator pressed the engine pops for a second before picking up, I'm at work but i'll check vacuum connections and dizzy when i get home. Thanks for your help it is much appreciated

never had dizzy cap off, thanks will look at that, if it has points/condenser will a electronic dizzy replacement make much difference

The sensor was removed to refurbish the wishbone but it looks to be back in same place (ring from lock washer)

My 2.0 pinto tends to misfire when revs drop when changing gear, car picks up and accelerates well but misfire annoying, replaced plugs leads etc, has anyone had similar Cheers - harry

After removing front wheel to have puncture repaired my digital speedo has stopped working, I'm not sure if there should be some sort of pick up on inside rim of alloy to allow sensor on wishbone to transmit info to dash, all other functions (fuel, trip, water temp etc OK) can any one shed a little light on this - cheers harry

Hi I saw a Robin hood with Black soft rubber trim around front mud guards which was about 15mm wide & looked really neat, all I can find at GBS/CBS n Flea bay is 10mm wide trim, does anyone know suppliers of a good rubber 15mm trim? Regards Harry
