Thats a good idea mate but still stuck on carb end i know clamp on top then down to turning lever but cant see how to secure to it Choke done well will be when 5.5mm nipple cums i got 8mm doh

How have people connected the throttle cable to pedels and the carbs i know solderless nipples but actualy how it done any pics would be great also what donewat pedal end got a conversion cable so got all fittings i think just cant seem to work out how to attach at both end Thamks

Keith the carbs came with megajolt as a setup so hopefully will be bit better when that fitted then will tune them to that well thats the plan Need to get hold of a balancer although to be fair they dont look that far apart looking at the diaphram lift Got to change float needle oring as leaking slightly on long idle into bowl and breather on number 1

Hopefully the good news carrys on few orther jobs to sort servo pipe etc and fit pump in boot etc and then megajolt hopeeully good for stonleigh

I know your all sick of me but had to post this something going good for once Fitted carbs with danst gasket and new float bowl gaskets Wired up r1 fuel pump tempoary and still on dizzy and it started first time Just got to sort megajolt to fit then rolling rd

If u put up numbers kevin i mite have one got a few depends it they ones you if it required

Already done 50 miles last week Petrol about 25mpg oil about 1/4 litre used

The engine runs great now accuspark plugs were just nothing firing motor up ngk in and fires brilliant just a bit of oil on overun going to do full 2.1 rebuild after stoneleigh as if i do the build myself start to finish completly from scratch then i will know it all good The carb is worn as it has been since got it the person i got it off said it wudnt get aboue 60mph without struggle and cudnt get it tuned right but as i didnt have a working one at all at least it got car moving tryed stu new carb and drives and goes alot better and doesnt over fuel like mine I have had the bike carbs and megajolt over 2 year just waiting for garage built to fit so now is time instead of wasting money on carb I appreciate the coments and advice and i am finaly listening do things properly 1st time dont cut corners and do it once just havnt had the time,money or health till now

Bit happier as might be right thinking head either crack or guides as took plugs out and number 3 pot same as before looking through plug hole there a pool of oil on top in centre of piston so belieue it to be dripped dowm into chamber from above so hopefully new head will sort theres too much to of dripped off plug anyone else ever seen that

Thanks dan engine build is fine Just realising taking short cuts due to work. Tiling kitchen. Revamping my bathroom. Complete ripout and refit of mums bathroom. Disabled kid wanting me all time etc just hard Sometimes have to learn that taking someones word something is good doesnt mean it is Too trusting i guess

I cannot say in a kit keith But have drove a escort zetec with a 5.5kg flywheel and once used to it spinning up quicker and slow down faster definatly better feels alot more responsive As bob says in a car may have to blip throttle prob wont need to in zero as car alot lighter But should only need to do that with slow gear change Definatly worth it

Well just went to try and it started first flick of key While running Popping and spitting a bit Bit of black smoke Lumpy So now just wanting a good tune up and run

Yeah running abit lumpy but not took out yet Now do i risk bike carbs and megajolt before or after stoneleigh I hear u all sigh

Thanks for all help guys Its running wants tune up but its runnin and no smoke ok bit of black but mixture causing that and will sort but no oil burning at minute Tryed everything then remembered what mick said about plugs replaced with standard plugs and it fired up They were sparking but obviously not rite thanks again guys
