  1. The IVA manual states 'A brake pipe or hose must be adequately clipped or otherwise supported' - so I guess it's down to the examiner?
  2. Load of midget ones on evilbay....might be worth a purchase to to have a trial fit :-)
  3. Just throwing this one out there but has anyone fitted or tried fitting a non robin hood windscreen? I'm thinking something a bit more aero friendly (but not an aero screen), something with a slight curve, maybe mini one or something else small like that?
  4. Yes I still have the blower - bought it with the intention of fitting the Sierra heater etc, but now going down the mini route.
  5. Looks good John & I look forward to seeing it in the flesh on Saturday
  6. Yes mk1, I paid about £30 for a 2nd hand pair & £25 for new discs & pads on evilbay
  7. If its any help Focus ones are cheaper & use the same discs as the sierra, but mounting is slightly different - I had some adaptor brackets made. Rich
  8. Try these part numbers at Euro - 133590091 & 133590101. Also your rear drums are on their way to you Rich
  9. Just noticed a couple of cheap pinto heads (non injection unfortunately) on ebay, both from the same seller - good if someone wants one to get it ported etc while still running their standard one! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-0L-pinto-cylinder-head-/262124247663?hash=item3d07d29a6f:g:I7oAAOSw14xWN2-l http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ford-pinto-2-0L-cylinder-head-/262124604407?hash=item3d07d80bf7:g:1jAAAOSwwbdWN6TG
  10. Drop me a pm then we can sort it out
  11. I've got a few sierra bits I no longer need (or have gone/going a different route with my build). I'll offer them first on here but will be putting them on ebay tonight but will end the auction early if someone on here wants any of them. 9" drums (just rusty but no wear), including backing plates with wheel cylinders & brand new shoes - SOLD Rear caliper carriers - £30 Ignition module - £10 Hear blower fan - £15 Not sierra but might suit someone - AH Fabrications 3ltr catch tank (-8 jic fittings - can get a different size welded on if needed) - £25 Rich
  12. If anyone else is after a fuel tank I've just noticed one on ebay - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Robin-Hood-Kit-Car-Stainless-Steel-Fuel-Tank-/171982047921?hash=item280aedcab1:g:piYAAOSwVL1WBAWc
  13. I have a matched pair of dellorto DHLA 40's for sale. No manifold or throttle linkage but do come with trumpets & fuel hoses including filter. £300 posted
  14. Yes just like them.....spotted that post after posting this one...have sent him a pm Hopefully they are what I need then I just need someone to buy my 40's
  15. Looking for a pair of 45's for my 2.1 pinto to replace my DHLA 40's as I've just scarred myself at the cost of new chokes & jets to get where I need to be & it's still a bit of a compromise. Cheers Rich
  16. Is that replacing a toughened scree with a laminated one or just a direct replacement?
  17. The heated screen is not a problem, I'm more concerned as to what to connect the diff lock light to!
  18. I know it sounds bad but I have a set of Skoda Estelle gauges that I'm starting to install in my 3A (before you all laugh check out the pic of what they look like & they include an 8000 rpm rev counter which will suit my engine). They're actually a nice little set of gauges all individual that can be removed from the original pod so can be mounted where they look best. The issue I have is finding out info on the speedo drive ratio as I don't want to go to all the effort of fitting to find out the speed is miles out. For reference I'm running a type 9 gearbox. I guess I could use an electronic pick up for wheel speed& adjust to suit. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers Rich
  19. Just a quick & hopefully simple question. What upper ballj oints does the 3A use (inboard shocks. sierra lower arms), I'm in the process of building my 3A & the original ones fitted have seen better days? Thanks in advance Rich

Sorry to hijack this post but I have to agree that twin carbs do sound the nuts (running twin 40 dellorto's myself), however the 40's aren't really big enough for my engine so if anyone has some 45's they would swap for my 40's....
  22. Has anyone got an old pinto sandwich plate (preferably one with a thermostat) lying around that they no longer require?
