Busy making some wind deflectors and I'm wondering where the door hinges are from. I ordered the ones off CBS but they're way to small. The ones on the car are 50mm X 19mm

I wash with normal car shampoo and dry with micro fibre cloths or use glass cleaner and the cloths. I did use metal polish once and I was chasing the swirls for ever!!

Your probably right Bob but ive been going stir crazy so while its sunny next week I will try and get out to do some "stuff" to the car, I found I had a stuck clutch last week but thats now been sorted. Recovery is going well and part of my physio is using tools as I need to do that for my job so I have a "medical" reason to tinker with the car

Only just had cast off wrists after 7 weeks so hopefully going to fit the nice shiny new ETB gauges wifey bought for my birthday, make some 1/2 doors and wind deflectors, recover boot and spray roll bar. And everything else wife wanted me to do during last 7 weeks of incapacitaty (used up all my brownie points!!)

Once car warmed up it seemed to free itself and its probably only down to lack of use due to my injury that it happened. I did have a cheap cover on it over the winter but it split in the storms. I have now replaced it with a much better breathable multi layer one so hopefully will be better and I just need to use it more !!

Thanks Malcolm, will try your suggestions, how did you stop it happening again? Worked a treat letting car warm up fully, pumped clutch a couple of times whilst wiggling gear stick and "pop" it freed up, Better get on and use it now!!

Hi Since breaking my wrists my Super Spec has been stood for about 2-3 months outdoors and now it seems the clutch plate is stuck as when engine is not running I can select any gear however with engine running I cant select a thing. The cable mech works fine, so how do go about freeing the clutch plate, is it a case of starting it in 4th gear say , I cant really take it anywhere so I have to try whatever on the drive with a brick wall about 15ft in front!!. Car has a Rover T series engine and a MT75 box. Trust it to be 1st sunny day since my cast came off as well!!!

Hi all I've read through some old posts on here regarding the above and I'm after some plans/photos of people's setups. Also what's people's thoughts on using strong Neodymium magnets to hold the bottom of the half doors (thinking of just a vinyl piece of fabric with bar across top ) to the stainless panel as don't fancy putting press studs on the gold bodywork, the top of the door will be secured with the studs already there for the full doors.

Difficult one but would either be a Nissan GTR or RS6 Avant

Do you have to have wing mirrors for an MOT, I've read the MOT doc and the way I understand it is that a rear view mirror is ok. I really don't like mine and can't adjust them with the doors on so pretty useless. What's people's views or maybe I've just got crap mirrors

Hi Can anyone tell me what size the "old" Zimmeride shocks are. Looking to change mine out, is there any difference in fitting 1.9 or 2.25 and can I fit either to my Super Spec. There seems to be more springs available on Fleabay in the 2,25 size. Also a little confused as to what length I would need, I was told that the shocks I need are 13"open 10"closed
