    Interesting Hood

3rd time on in the last few weeks Bid on it 1st time round - lost it by LOTS! Guy that bought it put it back on in days claiming it didn't fit in his garage?? Would be nice to know the chassis origin - I had thought it was a zero..... but nowthink probably not..
  3. Great that you guys enjoyed your trip into my playground I think Jamie ( turbo ) and myself have plans for you next year.........
  4. Believe it or not Halfrauds can match paint really well. Take the car along and they can put a colour analysing gizmo on it and match the paint and pretty reasonable ( well with a trade card )

    Rac Breakdown Cover

RAC have always been excellent for me. ( even once when I didn't want them to be - don't ask )
  10. for info ( still recommend the sun inn for great food and no driving! ) Justinlees Laird & Dog Melville Inn If you get approx numbers nearer the time I can do the provisional bookings.
  11. Hope to catch up with you guys as you come through customs Well somewhere just over the border.. I usually use the A697 ( Wooler / Coldstream ) road but sometimes stay on the A68, but there are lots of smaller road alternatives. ( forget the A1 ) Lots of great wee roads right on the doorstep of your campsite. Never been to the distillery so I'll come too !
  12. Well you are going to be in walking distance for me on the Saturday night.... The guy who owns the campsite also has a gararge next door who do all my MOT's ( 2 motorbikes and approx 5 cars ) and any stuff I can't be bothered doing! The Sun Inn across the road does excellent food but you would need to book - more of a restaurant than a pub these days - but also has great beer. Sun Inn Or the Justinlees or Laird and Dog are minutes away. I hope to catch up with you guys somewhere down the borders for a wee run PS Whiskey is Irish - we drink whisky

    Spike Fasterners

probably the 'lift the dot' fasteners see here namrick or you'll get them at Newark
  16. I just used some foam, some vinyl, and lots of isulating tape
  17. Haven't heard of YPE doing car engines - I'll get one of my kids to ask though ( they buy second hand bike racing tyres from them - worn on the outside 1cm but like new for the rest of the tyre ) There is another engine builder round here does most of the pinto's for the stock car boys ( which is why I can never find spares! )
  18. If the cost is reasonable I now know where my wishbones are going this winter... Beats a lick of hammerite any day Where abouts in Weegie land are they? Can't see an address on the web site.

    Exhaust Joint

agree it is probably the back section not being able to twist with the engine here's mine
  20. I used the nice shiny chromed ones from Namrick - no markings on the head yet SVA didn't even ask about them ( had the specs printed with me in case )
  21. same here - but one of my mates got it out with a 'removal tool' - sort of hooked thing that burst the seal and hooked in behind the reinforced bit. Having removed the sump twice only to discover my oil leak was from the crankshaft seal I know the pain....
