Hmmm
Unable to upload as an excel spreadsheet. Exported it to a .htm file - allows me to upload it but it appears to be unloadable once it is there - Ho hum
Useful spreadsheet of characteristics of different bolt sizes and materials......
fairly easy job
I used connectors like these vwp
Best to have a large connector for all the wires going to the original panel then off to smaller connectors for each instrument. This way you can easily daisy chain the earth and +12V and lighting wire from connector to connector.
For the Bright 6 i made a jig for drilling the holes - probably still lying around the garage - PM me if you want to borrow it.
I needed to remove the oil light preesure switch to fit a proper sender - when I ordered the guages they sorted out any adaptor required.
Got my guages from ETB - good service / reasonable price
works for both VWs, the Merc, and the Escort but not the Black Cab...
where has the Peugeot gone? - son no.1 must have left it somewhere!
( I'm not that sad - it was time to juggle the cars so I can get out in the morning anyway - honest! )
sounds like a bad earth
I'd try disconnecting what I'd changed to start and have a good look to check I'd not accidently 'knocked' off an earth somewhere
easiest not to have a windscreen at SVA as you then don't need demisters / wipers / screen wash.
suspect you do need lights
a quick search on this site should find you a link to the SVA manual.....
or wrap it in exhaust bandage ( helps keep the heat down in the engine compartment ) and if you want spray this with heat resistant alumium paint. Worked on mine - got the package of paint / exhaust wrap off ebay for not a lot of £££'s
