    F1 Loss Of Identity?

Leave F1 alone!! best excuse for; & way of inducing; an afternoon snooze. Need to watch the high-lights ?? to see what happened; but I'll probably fall asleep again.
  2. How about a gentle curve in the panel to take up the "slack"; would give a less slab-sided look??

    That Time Of Year

We do get the subsidies from EU -- take a run down through Cornwall -- lovely new tarmac everwhere. You will always be disappointed if you expect tax to be fair or spent on the section of community who paid it in the first place. Tax will always come from the easiest collection point & spent where you least want it to go; unless you're an M.P.

    Contaminated Fuel

Had water contaminated diesil years ago, stuffed the injector pump & injectors;twice!!! Company just shrugged their shoulders;"not us mate,no-one else has complained". Didn't get anywhere with claim;changed station & no more probs;video of your transaction will help your case IF you can get a copy, which is doubtful, I was "lucky" enough to be able to book it against tax.

    Rust

Always left my bits dangling in the soup over-night, then gave 'em a rub down & stuck 'em back in if not happy with finish, then cooked with hot-air gun until too hot to handle before painting.
  6. Is the ignition ON, they should only work when it is (with my wiring) flashers will work with ING off???
  7. Looks as good as the Sierra we broke -- only had 40k on & previous owner polished it day before we collected.

    Block Plug For Pinto

Do you know the TPI for the 3/8" NTP (National Taper Pipe) thread; is it same as or very close to BSP? If it's possible to change thread ( which I did on our CVH block) I can send you a tap & possibly a plug,or do you need a different fitting?
  10. Thought LUCAS & all it's service centres went down the pan a year or so ago; but packaging looks the same as old; maybe the name has been bought by a new company; old Lucas never did power tools but then neither did the proper old JCB company.
  11. Reasons against the 1.8CVH please Nigel; it's what I'm fitting & hope to run for a long time as it's only got 40k on it a the moment.

    Welder Parts

Have a complete motor & drive wheel (0.6 & 0.8mm grooves) looks same as pic. above; has "E3 PATENT" on side, no other markings. Yours for £5 inc. postage.
  13. Yup, it's also benificial for the line to run slightly uphill to the trap;condensate then runs back into the tank.

    Chmsl

I'm useless at crosswords as well; be mindful of LED lights, they need to be viewed square on for max. brilliance; me? max. brilliance went long ago.

    Got My Mac!

How true ,when I was flying, many moons ago, there wasn't a single nyloc on my aircraft. But then I was P1 in a hot-air balloon!!
  20. If you got a long pipe run go up a bore size if poss. -- the tube wall resists flow so bigger bore reduces wall/c.s.a. ratio.

    Got My Mac!

In 30+ years of electrical engineering I have never had a new, first use nyloc come adrift,2nd hand re-used yes;maybe hoods vibrate to a different tune.
  22. Have got my wiper motor working fine as per Nigel's diagram, but need a replacement auto park switch as this one has rotted away & gave me no end of weird results. Has any-one got a spare for sale, please?

    Battery

In the boot along with the washer bottle, must all help with weight distribution, made a box for ours from s/steel & it sits below boot floor behind drive-shaft.

    Tank Foam

Rather than remove something that was installed to prevent fuel surge can you not make up several springy wires to hold the foam away from the sender float? I've in mind a "n" section pushed in the sender hole with the leg ends springing out to sit in opposite corners of the tank & float able to move in this space.
  25. Thanks for the rapid reply, Nigel, only conflict is I have a mini green/orange instead of your solid green on mini plug; will try to-morrow, regards Bob.
