  1. Hi Graham, would be good to see you or any Thames Valley guys, we still have several free entry tickets for both days for vehicle & occupants. Camping is available, free at Tytherley or on site for a fee. This offer is open to all members so if you fancy a longish drive & stay over send me a PM,regards Bob.
  2. It will have to be marked as fuel hose along its entire length if you use "rubber" hose,I think, the no solder option would mean buying more than one size of copper tube to suit your flow & return; I used just 1 to save pennies.
  3. A roll of 8mm copper tube (microbore from B&Q) did both feed & return on our 2B ;plus soldered joints to increase/decrease at each end as necessary, then fuel hose to connect to tank & engine.
  4. Hi, I'm looking for plastic pipe 40mm diameter with a bend radius of 18"; I wish to make a snap-on cover for the slow bend chassis section at driver's/passenger's shoulder ;thanks.

    Iva Mirrors

Will they stand still enough for IVA -- if it vibrates & distorts view it's a fail, sorry.
  6. The ring used on our 2B was the same as Sierra tank filler tube ring -- so I got a new one from local Ford to be on safe side.
  7. As usual--I dreamt it -- again.
  8. Granada Rad New one on E-bay 390075474516 -- it's only a fiver at the moment!!!
  9. Just bought some VW front flashers for mounting on the wings -- they have a "clam shell" orange lens + a plasi-chrome 1/2 shell covering all the back of the lens (GSF Car Parts on E-bay) Would a solution be to make a rear facing hole in the plasti-chrome or does it need to be a separate lamp in case of bulb failure?
  10. Think the IVA now requires TWO rear fogs (matched pair & equal spacings) or am I dreaming again?

    Connector Block.

On the same lines -- a water pipe cross bond strap made by TENBY makes an excellent earth connection; especially on S/Steel round tube chassis rails.
  18. Not quick enough --- but found loads more listed;thanks for the brilliant idea. Any idea thickness of these things & what wheel/tyre would give me a diameter of 630mm would it be 215 65 R16? thanks for all your help.

    Fog Light Wiring

Switches are may-be 20+years old;I would use a relay to lessen the load on old electrics AND be sure of full voltage reaching the lamps. Consider this; are there many replacements available for these old coluum switches, don't know, but seeing how many different functions the switches do I'll stick with relays.

    Fog Light Wiring

Should there be another switch in either of the lines to relay 3 coil (terminals 85 86) with-out which the fogs will be on when-ever the head/dip are on;or do I need to do better?
  21. Thanks for input; I want to hub fit mud guards that cover more of the circumference & sit much closer to the tyre;would prefer metal ones as these are "repairable/reshapable with the all fixing 'ammer & if I can get them in ally or S/steel will remain self colour.
  22. I would like to fit hub-mounted mudguards all round my 2B & would also like them to be made of ally or stainless; any-one know of a manufacturer?
