yes its running great what would be the difference between a FI & a carb filter ?

posting this as it may help someone else. 2L DOHC 8v with bike carbs & megajolt I had a problem when running at redline revs, after a 1/2 mile or so the engine would cough & splutter as if it was running on 2 cylinders, when I slowed down it would be ok thought it was the coil so changed it, but still the same. Someone suggested it could be fuel starvation I have a facet cube pump with the little bullet filter attached which was 5 years old so thought it may be blocked. I took it off & cut open the filter expecting it to be well clogged but it was still v clean. I decided to fit a bigger filter to get more fuel through and hey presto problem solved no more embarrassing cutting out when overtaking etc photos of old & new filters

I have a dohc but in a zero, I have fitted a shortened sump also lifted engine & gearbox about 30mm, scoop fitted to bonnet to fit engine in also ground off the bottom of MT75 gearbox bellhousing so its level with base of sump. The base of sump & gearbox are now level with bottom of chassis HTH photos of shortened sump

update as he never gave the car or V5 to the insurance the only thing he has to do is have a VIC before the tax needs doing he`s keeping the car & running it into the ground, which he was doing anyway before bump cheers Paul

My brother has had a bump in his 2003 Citroen C5, rear door & arch dented & scratches. other party admitted liability the insurance company is writing it off but said he could buy it back as a cat C. its in good nick so he wants to buy it back. Has anyone done this? Whats the step by step process ? how much does it cost for VIC & applying for V5 ? how long would car be off the road ? cheers Paul

I had a run down to Bogg Bros saturday morning to get lean running carbs & megajolt looked at. 1st off Dave balanced the carbs which were way out, and loosened pilot screws 3 turns out main jet dealt with next using 1.9mm drill. Steve made a couple of changes to megajolt onto the RR & a final BHP of 150 at the wheels happy bunny & no more worries of lean carbs
