love it matt, I have tried in the past with curburough as its a very cost effective option and you dont need a lot of numbers to make it work but kept getting the run around from them, may just have been me!

Ok one of the leads I was following has got back to me and all looking very promissing with a classic car event tagged on the end instead of the normal boring Sunday. Watch this space will give more details once I ironed a few things out and had a meeting with the guy but looking good.

I have emailed and tried to call the venue a few time to see if the end of September was still available but have had no response. I have not canceled anything as there is nothing to cancel. my intention was, if i had confirmation that we can have the end of september then i would put a post up to get members opinion on the date as there is no point arranging this if people are not likely to attend. a few have posted above saying they are happy with the date but the event needs more than a few to make it work. I have a demanding full time job and an equally demanding fully time family and any spare time is used on things such as this. The post was intended to generate some constructive comments / offers of support but that seems to have been lost in the mud again. give it a rest guys!!! there is only so much abuse one is willing to take. regards keith

Thanks to one of the members (Ivan Farrington) for pointing this one out. Where: Stamford Town Meadows When: Sunday 26th August 2018, 10am to 5pm How: Registration will open Saturday 28th April 2018 I believe a few have attended this event previously, i have contacted the event and they are happy to give us a designated area for a club stand to allow us to all exhibit together. They have stated that each car will need to register individually when registration opens on 28th April 2018 (This Weekend) and clearly state RHOcar The UK KIT CAR CLUB on the application. Just a note the committee was not mentioned at all in my post! love it when people try and provoke an argument. will leave you lot to argue among yourselves lol.

My kids will equally be disappointed. I have not given up or replaced it. Just ruining out of time!

Just to clarify the EOSB may not happen this year. The reason being is that the usual venue we use could not give us our usual dates. The only two dates we were given were the 30th June and the last weekend in September. A lot of feedback was given to me from last years event to which I thank all that have it. One of the main things was that people didn't not want to camp in September and the general concensous was that an earlier date would be preferred. Unfortunately the 30th June which was the only other date that was available clashed with another event date that had been set. I have been looking into other venues since last year but the cost is looking too big. There are a few I am still perusing and am hopefull we can put something together but at this time I have nothing to promote. I would have liked to have been promoting the event early and had flyers etc to hand out at stoneleigh and other events to try and get the number up but without a venue not a great deal to promote. This is a real shame as last year numbers were up and costs were down after a lot of effort was put in. That said there are still several camping weekend events available and hopefully a few more event/ gatherings that can be organised. I will keep looking at possible venues for this year and if I can find something that fits I will Set things up.

Ok got an apology from Motofest we do have space for 30 for both sat and Sunday will post details later when on computer but please let's support this as much a step possible it's a great event for petrolheads and the girls can go shopping at the same time lol.
