I know how you feel, I tend to play catch up with the car in front. Works well until that car is a police car, oops!
Nevertheless it's great to keep these cars going over the winter period.

Thank you for the feedback, never heard of G1 stuff I will have a look.

I never sorn my car because there are some great clear but cold days over winter.
But the risk of being caught in a shower is much higher, my wiper blades on the Zero are not great.
So just wondering can you recommend any windscreen treatment to aid the wipers.
Halfords latest newsletter is advertising Rain-x, does it work?

Welcome Yves, there's about 30 kit cars visiting Le Mans next year.

No certification is needed, these are hand built cars and not mass produced.

Replacement starter motor arriving this afternoon, This has been a nightmare this is my 3rd starter motor from this company.
Will let you know how it goes.....
I wonder if you are fitting the right starter but someone has modified the flywheel and starter ring gear, hence the clunking.

Hi Connie,
There's a large plug on the side, with a massive hex key. Full up using a bottle with long tube fitted. Failing that I have seen some guys make a hole (25mm) in the tunnel, so much easier.

Peter it applies to everything if it is not needed for IVA test then don't fit because when fitted it can be tested for sharp edges.
Likewise don't fit the screen, then you do not need demisters, washers or wipers. Less to fail on.

Leave it off until you pass

Hi,
My hazard switch button/cover and would you believe it the bulb was removed from my car during Oulton park whilst the car was on display.
I know the MK1 are like rocking horse ...... Does anyone have a spare or know the bulb type so I can use a transit version.
Thank you for advance.

Check the selector saddle, it could be broken or worn.

Great event, thank you to the committee and stalls who attended.

Now you've done it Chris....

Yes, and it covers lots of possible issues. Just make sure the handbrake cable does not run against it or on the bottom suspension arms.

Drive it to the test centre, shows confidence in your build.

Do you have the right manifold, there are two types normal and widebody (GT)? Wouldn't be the first time GBS made a small error.

Will we get lost this year?

Looks like a Pinto so use 20/50 oil the old school type.
I used to use this from Halfords https://www.halfords.com/motoring/engine-oils-and-fluids/engine-oil/halfords-classic-oil-20w50-5l-537977.html
