  1. i did this a few months ago. bolted to the lower arm ,straight to the arm in the bottom of the 'cup' had to modify a spanner to fit though got some large stainless bolts for the top mounts. then covered it all in underseal
  2. it would cost shed loads and youd never make your money back. but one built to top spec would be useless on the road as it would lack bottom end. My mate races in a pinto engined royale car and it does nothing below 3k .
  3. ive read that theres a metal cover opposite the drive it can be pulled out from there.
  4. ive actually got a fibreglass dash gonna back it with ply to strenghten it. and gonna build up a bit on the front with ply then wrap it. i fit laminate so know the dangers of mdf/hdf ,but always worth making note..need to take my time..dont have much patience though

  9. Tazzman recommended swapping from dgas to dgav on a basic spec engine like mine is. and i got it for virtually nothing. so rather then spending money on jets ill fit this. local garage says he can set it up hes 50 plus but wondered if theres anyone thats recommended or a member id rather pay them
  10. looks a nice job there dude. gonna need some sunglasses with those bright colours
  11. calipers should always be fitted bleed nipple up..as air rises. sometimes on kit cars due to fitment issues they may have to be fitted upside down. but they cant be bled in this way. you may have em the wrong way round...or they may have to go on like that
  12. your rear calipers need spining over to bleed up. no need to purchase anything flip them over and fasten them in situ so they still have the thickness correct in between. then bleed and then refit
  13. Got a pinto with 38 dgas and its overfuelling big time..black plugs etc Got a 32/36 dgav to go on,got a rebuild kit to strip and clean it first but then i need to sdet it up emmisions wise etc. does anyone have the equipment to do this job or shall i just pop to my local mot center/local garage before anyone says fit bike carbs etc. its not an option..just need to set this up

  22. I currently have a pinto engine with old skool points. thinking of losing them in the winter mods list. Can anyone recommend a kit to modify mine or a whole dizzy to swap out. Or does anyone have an unneeded one i can purchase. cheers guys
  23. Heres my 2p worth. I run a lpg van for work. ive had it 20 months now in total and done over 25000 miles So far ive had to buy a new fill nozzle ...thats it. nothing else has gone wrong. i have it serviced every other year. Nothing has ever been replaced or repaired apart from the nozzle. It does a little less mpg when on gas,the change over is unnoticeable and power loss is very minimal, virtually undetectable. I run a bmw 330 ,wished id have got it done when i first bought it. It runs a brc mulitpoint system often to be regarded as the best, ALWAYS get any work done by a reputable qualified fitter.NEVER diy imo. Plenty of garages about. i have work done at central garage in doncaster, they are very good at what they do and are good on prices.
  24. saw this while browsing thought it was cheap. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3478972.htm zetec silvertop for 100 quid
  25. only reason imo youd fit a 5 speed is cruising economy. a decent branded clutch should easy take 150 bhp . if not motorsport world do uprated ap clutches.
