  1. Cheers Martin, that's what I thought. I think maybe the previous builder has out some type of bonding in the carrier to hold it in place. It's typical of some of the rings he has done on this build.
  2. Is there a trick to this? Have undone pinch bolts and split top ball joint but they are stuck fast!

    New To Robin Hood

Have you got a car in mind already? You say new to Robin Hood so assume buying either a completed car or a unfinished project? Do you know what model of Robin Hood it is, if a monocoque (series 3, s7 etc) there are some bits to be aware of for IVA, but nothing that can't be sorted fairly simply. Lightweights should be avoided, 2B's are simplest to get through IVA. However if you are buying new then it will be a gbs zero, in which case I think dimensions are on the gbs site.

    Malt Shovel

I should be able to make it this time! Do you all tend to eat there or just drinks?
  8. No problem bob. From the steering wheel end I presume? Will brave the snow and get some now.
  9. Pretty sure I have an archer somewhere. Will see if I can dig it out.

    New Tyres

Drive a Suzuki swift sport with these fitted in the nurburgring, absolutely superb tyre!
  11. Fair enough, any goodies I can beg, steal or maybe even buy before it goes?
  12. What carb are you using? May have a fuel cut off valve, have you made sure this is connected to a switched live? Have you tried easy start in the carb? Are you getting spark? Failing all the above, loosen the dizzy retaining bolt and turn the dizzy slowly while someone crank engine, when it fires into life, tighten in that spot. Obviously you will need a timing light to do it properly.
  13. Was the superspec not enough for you?!
  14. That's a fair enough answer. I was just curious. I have heard of people doing what you have done with boosted engines - emissions map, day to day/low boost map, and power/high boost map - but hadn't come across it on a NA setup.
  15. Is there really much difference between power an day today maps? I can't see the benefit on a NA engine, unless I am missing something?
  16. The price I quoted is including shipping and VAT. A new one is £10.21 inc VAT plus shipping at £4.00 inc VAT.
