Jack it up and turn the wheel by hand, should be able to feel it if its cv joint. Probably not related but I got through 3 arb links on mine in 18 months...

Can you get a nut on? If so I can probably make it over in a week or so to weld it in for you.

Got a welder? Weld a nut on if you can get one on, new head then and the heat should loosen it.

I had the same though rich but the bell housing looks wrong to me?

I tried various composite seats but the oes tht would fit he car wouldn't fit my uhmm fuller frame... Ended up with some cobra roadster seats and they are very comfy!
